DH and I were just talking about all the "deals" that were supost to be out there. Maybe it is for stuff we don't need? But neither of us thought there were any great deals either befor Christmas, or today, the 26th...
I was listening to the TV folks go on and on about all the deep, deep desperate discounts up to 75% off... where were they shopping?

My sons went to Best Buy and Golftown this morning and were very pleased with what they got - computer monitors, blu ray players, things like that. And new golf clubs at Golftown. We're going over to Lush today or tomorrow - they have buy one get one free.

We went to a few stores this morning for the kids to do some returns and I have to say I did not see anything that attractive to me. I will hold onto my Christmas money a bit longer.

If your Sears has a Land's End section, a lot of that merchandise was 40% off, including coats. Unfortunately, they didn't have my sons sizes. I went out to the mall this morning and returned empty handed. I didn't see anything that called out to me to buy it.

Hobby Lobby was by far my favorite deal stop! Jacob and I picked up 5 BIG rolls of wrapping paper (black and white polka dots, floral patterns in bold colors, stripes, plain) considered Christmas--so it was 50% off!!! Then we got picture frames to decorate, mini scrapbooks, wooden projects to paint, books--all 50 % off! It was great! We loaded a cart (over flowing) and it came to $54!!!! Seriously it was amazing!!! Bath and body really made me kind of sad---my fave scent is the twisted peppermint which is extremely popular up here so we were out but all the other scents were 75% off!! (I did pick up gift boxes there though) Hopefully tomorrow they'll do their online sale 75% off... hmmm. Target we got "guy gifts"--great gift sets: decks of cards, glove compartment sets, grilling stuff, accessories for the ipods... 50%... So many people were walking around saying "I can wait until this goes to 75-or 90%! (And I had to agree for most things I just decided to wait) Walmart I did pick up some stuff, but really not that much. Overall... I love getting a deal

Macy's I heard is having deep cuts! Unfortunately I really don't need more clothes but I will be going by there tomorrow to see about shoes!!!

I haven't ventured out of the house yet. I am, however, considering making some purchases at AmericanGirl.com. They have games & art kits for $5 that would make great bday presents later in the year.

Nothing impressive at Walmart or Target. I did pick up some 50% off Christmas stuff at Target.
