I'm not looking forward to the new housewife. I love Tamra, but I wish, like a PP said, that they would do updates on Jo and Quinn and the others that got dumped from the show. After the dating show Jo and Slade did I would bet they're back together.

Yeap, it was Lauri. Every time I think I'm not going to watch it b/c I don't think it's interesting but for some reason, I'm waiting for the next episode...does that even make sense? I've been watching since the first season though...so I guess I really do find it interesting...lol...I can't wait until the marathon b/c I like watching it all in one day.

I wonder what's up with Vicki and her husband...it seems like the both want the sames things, like the attention that vicki keeps talking about, but neither one are willing to give it to the other one.

Good question . I really liked her. On the reunion show she had lost a lot of weight and I was waiting to see if she got a man yet . I don't know what makes them continue with certain people or not. I'm sure some of them it's their own decision.

I'd like to know what happened to Quinn as well. My guess would be that she was not asked back, as they did not give any type of 'farewell' to her like they did for Lauri.

I wasn't fond of Quinn. I'm fine with having your own personal morals, but I'm NOT fine with acting like you're all goody-goody Christian, but not backing it up with actions. She really was not my cup of tea. She seemed quite fake.

I love watching it for the scenery and ideas for traveling. DH & I have not been to NAPA yet and we want to go!!

I think it is Lauri that lives in San Juan Capistrano....we have been there to the Mission and that whole area is so beautiful. Good for her to leave the show and focus on her son. How sad. Did she say Heroin?


Gretchen is soooo over the top. Why is she even on the show if she is not a Housewive??? She lives in Costa Mesa. The next town over from me and it is lovely.

Jeana...$8,000 on bed linens... I see her "FOR SALE" signs all over the place.

Vicky despite all this money she has is just so unhappy..........

I recently started watching this. I was sad to see Lauri go. She was the most down to earth of them all.

Tamra & Gretchen look like clones of each other. They even have the same hairstyle. Why in the world would you want to look like a carbon copy of someone else?

I thought it was so telling when Gretchen said to her fiance's daughter, when she was ragging on her to get a job to pay for a car, "You want to know what my job is? It's taking care of your father & his cancer treatments?" or something to that effect. He certainly found himself a young & pretty nursemaid to take care of him, and is willing to pay in diamonds for it.

I didn't know this! I just googled it, and his funeral was Sept 13th. So sad! Will be interesting to see how the show deals with it. Wonder what Gretchen is doing now?

After last nights show, I was wondering why she decided to do this show when he was so sick. The stuff she was doing with his iv, I would be to scared and would have hired a nurse.

Wow! I didn't know that either. It is sad.

However, I will admit, although it's totally not politically correct to do so, but when a person parades their life on TV like that, inviting people to be a voyeur into their lives, it invites speculation. I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this, although I doubt anyone else will come forward and admit they thought this too as it would make them a "bad, mean, vile, feeling-less person" such as me... But, I study human nature, being a therapist. A person can study, think & get inside the dark thoughts & behaviors of another, without being a monster, himself. That's what police profilers & psychologists do all the time. I can admit I have a dark side & can think & speculate dark thoughts, and that others do too. I'm just speculating here, as I really haven't seen enough of Gretchen to know anything about her really.

But, when I saw that he had leukemia, I thought that, if Gretchen is a gold-digger, as even the other housewives said in the limo once, Gretchen "lucked out" so to speak. Don't get me wrong, I certainly didn't want him to be sick and especially to die, but realistically, the odds were he was going to go sooner than if she had hooked up with a grandpa who was as strong as a race horse. And he certainly looked weak & tired all the time.

I'm glad for Jeff that Gretchen made the end of his life happy. She was certainly there for him, by his side, more than his daughter. And if she is a gold-digger, well, she made out in diamonds, & possibly received something from the will & can move on. It would be interesting to see if her next guy is a lot younger.


And yes, I know some people do marry older people sincerely out of love. Many really do want someone who reminds them of their parent, or the parent that got taken away too soon & are looking for a replacement father figure, yada.
