2026 Strength Training Accountability Thread

Finally have something to contribute to the thread haha. Did my first post marathon strength training workout last night while cooking mac and cheese for the kids and while they ate it 🤣 . Did Caroline Girvan Iron Series Week 1 Day 1 Legs. It was about 35 minutes (60 seconds work 30 seconds rest) of variations of squats and lunges plus RDLs.
 

Did about an hour of upper body plus core yesterday afternoon. Combined the two Week 1 upper body days since one was chest, back and shoulders and the other was arms and core so I wasn't overdoing any one body part. Knew I didn't have time this week to do both on separate days. My legs are still sore from Wednesday and now everything is sore too. 😂
 
Feeling like a broken record with my posts but I've found consistency is my key.

Yesterday was unconventional day. Strong effort again on the elliptical followed by a lot of core and glute work, plus the back extension machine. My old dance instructor would be so proud that I threw in some of her favorite floor exercises for core warmups. Those little flutter kick exercises in the various positions are killer.
