Going to post a detailed good/bad/and ugly Trip Report from our 2/4-2/9 trip, but first I have a question:

How would you suggest I can find out asap when it happens when the 2026 prices and 2026 Bounce-back Offers are out?

We plan on going back in September of 2026 with our 2 grandbabies, their parents, and another family member so I booked 3 room for September 2025 to "hold" the deal. I will admit, I find Disney's methods more than a little convoluted and difficult, but that's another story for my Trip Report!

Do I just keep checking the WDW website and/or blog every day or can I get some type of notice? Disney does NOT make this easy, that's for sure.

Thanks if anyone has an answer.

There is a dedicated Bounceback thread on the Disney discounts subforum on the resorts Board. @vinotinto keeps it up to date with all current dates & offer information. When new dates are opened, it will definitely be posted there.

What you mean to "hold" a deal? Typically deals have certain restrictions and are for certain dates. If you don't stay during that time, you can rebook and pay the difference.

They mean to hold the bounceback offer. Yes, the prices will be different and the 2026 prices, but still at the bounceback discounted offer.

Exactly - we're not planning on going until September of 2026, but I just booked for September of 2025 to hold the bounceback deal. Again, Disney doesn't necessarily make it easy to navigate the process. In my opinion anyway...

Before Covid, when the BB offers changed they were different offers & you couldn’t move from 1 to the next, because that required making a new reservation. Which of course you can’t do after your eligibility period. Since it resumed, it has only been a room discount offer. You are able to change to dates into the next year once they are released in the BB offer, because it’s just changing an existing reservation. Ex, I had a BB booked for dates in 2023. I was able to move it to new dates in 2024.

Interesting. I read through the other thread, which has a lot of information and included this:

Can I change or modify a bounceback reservation?
  • Yes, you can change or modify your bounceback reservation, even if the "book-by" date is past.
  • If you are changing dates, the new dates must also fall within the bounceback offer.
Does this mean if the dates are included in a future bounceback offer, that would count and you would still be able to keep the discount? I would assume there would be some additional upcharge (outside of the new pricing), but since you are essentially committing to a room, maybe they would actually let it ride.

The first time I called Disney to talk to someone about my bounceback she was the person who told me to book September 2025 when I wanted September 2026. She told me I could change it as many times as I wanted to with no issue. She also actually said she knew of a case where someone kept changing a reservation for a bounceback for 8 years, which now that I know a little more seems somewhat unlikely.

What she didn’t tell me, that the second Disney rep did, was that there was the possibility that they won’t even have a bounceback promo in 2026! I left my conversation with her feeling a little conflicted about the entire process.

Honestly, these two different reps were on such opposite ends of the spectrum as far as information and attitude, it was very frustrating. I got so annoyed. I was almost ready to not book it at all. Just take my chances on another good deal for September 2026.

But of course, that would’ve been silly since it is a no lose situation.

Yes, since the BB came back after Covid, the new dates have been an extension of the current offer. So you can move to those new dates. But before Covid, it was always a new offer & you could not change to dates that weren’t included in the offer you had booked.

For example, if you booked a free dining offer, you could change to other dates that were included in that offer. The free dining bounceback was typically offered in late summer/ early fall for the same time period the next year. You could call at any time & change to another resort or different dates (pending availability) that were included in the offer even after the offer had changed to a room discount. But you could not have moved that free dining BB reservation to dates that were later released for a room discount.

There is never a penalty or upcharge to change Disney resort reservations unless you are within the cancellation period. And even then, change fees are usually waived.

So as long as the new dates continue to be an extension of the same offer, you can move to them. If Disney changes the offer to something else besides the current room discount, you won’t be able to move to those dates.

I think this is a reasonable disclaimer from the CM. There is never a guarantee of a discount, or what dates would be included in any future offer. The CMs don’t have any info on offers that will be released months or a year in the future. Until an official announcement by Disney management, there is always the possibility of no BB offer, however slim. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a CM giving that caution. Imagine the complaints if someone booked on speculation of moving it to future dates which never materialize. Folks would be complaining “the CM should have warned me!”

Yeah, this does seem a bit suspect. I think it might be possible that they would give you the bounceback promo for a future year, if it existed, by paying the upcharge (but getting the newest bounceback promo). It's probably up to whatever CM you talk to and whether they give you the deal, so I wouldn't count on it. But, if you are already "investing" in a trip anyway, I agree that it can't really hurt to see if it works. Good luck!

Everyone I've talked to agrees on the basics:

I locked in a "bounce-back" rate
The only resort rates currently available are for 2025
The only promotions (bounce-back and otherwise) available are for 2025
When (or if) they announce the bounce-back program for 2026, I am absolutely eligible for that rate and can change my reservation to the correct dates at those rate
If, for any reason I want cancel, I can do so with a total refund of deposit up to 30 days before arrival

I agree - I think my frustration was more with the entire process.

The first CM I spoke with probably should have told me the same thing, but she didn't. So when the second one did, it got me a little wound up about what had already been a bit of a difficult situation.

Generally speaking, I find the CMs on the phone to be be very inconsistent. Things shouldn't be that "different" depending on who answers the phone! Or at least that's what I think.

If it works out, you should report back so the person who updates the dedicated bounceback page on this site so others know that it's possible.
