It's an absolute no-brainer for the OTUP alone.MMB triggers my FOMO

Let's be very clear. To clarify, the rules for OTU points are per UY. However, you are entitled to the benefit of BOGO under MMB per calendar year.
That’s why it gets a little confusing. I bought OTU points in my June 2025 UY using the BOGO benefit.
I can still buy OTU points in my Aug or Dec 2025 UY, but I will pay full price for those if I wanted to buy them before Dec 31st, 2025.
To get the benefit of BOGO in one of those UYs, I have to wait to buy them until January 1st, 2026 when my 2026 benefits kick in.
Let's be very clear.
I used my 2025 Membership Magic Beyond benefit to purchase OTUP in my December 2025 Use Year, which hasn't started yet.
The only reason you can't use BOGO for your December 2025 UY is because you've already redeemed your Calendar Year 2025 MMB benefit, not because you would have been otherwise required to wait until your benefit period and your use year overlapped.
Unless you have no need for extra points. I bank a lot every year…It's an absolute no-brainer for the OTUP alone.
Buying points for $10 that you can easily rent for $20 is a no-brainer even if you don't plan to use them yourself.Unless you have no need for extra points. I bank a lot every year…
Buying one time use points to rent them is almost certainly going to run afoul of the no commercial use rule.Buying points for $10 that you can easily rent for $20 is a no-brainer even if you don't plan to use them yourself.

I bought Direct because I had FOMO about the sparkly wrist bands at Aulani so there are worse reasons. The BOGO one time use points with MMB and other MMB options made me reconsider being resale only. True story. I think it's a reasonably big value add.
Lounge access here…I bought Direct because
I have a December UY and a trip booked June 2026. My 7 month window opens up in a week. Is there anyway to buy this to use OTUP for 2026 benefits? I have a trip to DL in April with the family so I think it would be worth it in any case but would be great if i could get the OTUP.
I didn’t understand that Memory Maker could take the place of PhotoPass. This year I used points to get renewal AP’s and then I paid for PhotoPass. Will the Memory Maker work instead? Asking for next year. Thank you.I think this makes a lot of sense. It's also why Memory Maker is included and a big perk for owners. If you have an AP with PhotoPass downloads the Memory Maker is completely useless. I am not upset about it because I know it benefits other members and I would always rather have more than less perks in the program.
Memory Maker is only good for 30 days. PhotoPass downloads added to an Annual Pass is good for 365 days.I didn’t understand that Memory Maker could take the place of PhotoPass. Ok…we go more often, so, it was good that I had it! Thank you!Memory Maker is only good for 30 days. PhotoPass downloads added to an Annual Pass is good for 365 days.
If you're only taking one trip Memory Maker is fine. If you want to download photos from multiple trips throughout the year it won't work.
I said it was useless for an AP because it's redundant if you paid the $99 upcharge for PhotoPass downloads. Memory Maker can't replace it, you just have no reason to use it.
Not sure if it is the case in 2026, but in 2025 you could transfer the MMB Memory Maker benefit to someone else.I said it was useless for an AP because it's redundant if you paid the $99 upcharge for PhotoPass downloads. Memory Maker can't replace it, you just have no reason to use it.
True you can transfer if, but if I’m linked to someone to transfer MM I am most likely also sharing plans and photos with them so I can already access and download their photos 365 days out of the year. Not sure if it is the case in 2026, but in 2025 you could transfer the MMB Memory Maker benefit to someone else.
