Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the original wording of the DL and WDW special priced tickets (for 2025) say that the user of the tickets must be listed on your contracts? Because now I see it says they just have to be part of your traveling party. Am I remembering that wrong or was it always that way?

I don’t remember reading it that way, I never bought but I know I was planning to buy for my travel party if the dates worked.

2025 Terms were the same.
  • WDW Tickets can only be purchased by the Member enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program who must call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800; purchase of WDW Tickets cannot be made online or in-person.
  • WDW Tickets may only be purchased by the Member enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program for themselves and up to seven (7) guests in the Member's traveling party, for up to a total of eight (8) WDW Tickets per the 2025 Benefit Season.

So does this mean they didn't sell that many in 2025? Or maybe the points-for-AP option swallowed up a lot of potential rental points as intended?

I'm honestly shocked they didn't increase the price.

My guess would be it sparked more sales with the BOGO free OTU points.

I used them to help buy my AP and I love the rates stayed the same, given they just increased the cash price!

It may very well have helped owners with extra points to trade for the AP vs renting.
