Conference Championship games are this weekend! Some of those games could have CFP implications.

Additionally, the Bahamas Bowl is no more. It’s now the Xbox Bowl in Frisco, TX!

Too bad about Bahamas Bowl. They never seem to get the big names or anything but that atmosphere looks completely unique amongst bowl games!

As always, Go Bucks this weekend! After breaking the streak of confounding losses in The Game, a first B1G championship in 5 years would be icing on the cake!

I think we’re in for a good game, and they’ll each be the toughest opponent the other team has faced!

It’s kind of tough for me seeing Fernando Mendoza in an Indiana uniform. But the transfer portal taketh and giveth away.

So Cal is guaranteed to have its first winning season since 2019, when they went 8-5 and won its last bowl game (Redbox Bowl vs Illinois). Playing in the Hawaii Bowl, where it will be a homecoming for several players from Hawaii, against Hawaii no less. Cal’s interim head coach Nick Rolovich played at Hawaii and was their former head coach. Cal’s new head coach will be allowed to complete his season as the DC at Oregon where they’ll be in the CFB playoffs. It’s going to be weird though as it’s a tiny stadium since Aloha Stadium was more or less condemned.

Personally, I think all but a handful of teams would say if being overrated means we're in the playoff win or lose today and undefeated defending national champs, by all means, over rate us.

Alabama should be out.

I saw their coach whining about being penalized for playing a title game. Um no. You're not being penalized for playing a title game. You're being penalized for completely stinking up the joint. Furthermore, you lost to a 5-7 Florida State Team by 14 points. Meanwhile, Notre Dame only lost to two potential tournament teams. One by one point and one by three.


LOL I did get a listen to some talk radio out of Alabama.

While I think the 10-2 Canes should be in with their H2H over 10-2 Irish, I’m not convinced that’s what the committee will do given how they ranked Bama this week. They’ve so far erred on not punishing conference runners up in this format, but we’ll see.

Given how the B1G game is going at the moment, I’m grateful for that

The ref threw his hat and the replay showed the receiver step both feet out of bounds, so I’m still not sure why the TD was called / upheld?

Because it's only a penalty if you voluntarily go out of bounds. If the defender pushes you out, once you establish yourself back in bounds you can catch it.

The most memorable game of the day was unseeded Illinois St Normal (Yup, the town really is called Normal) scoring 15 points in the last 2:44 to topple #1 North Dakota St. in the Fargo Dome. The Redbirds had a 14 game losing streak to them. The Redbirds out gained the Bison 422-179 and dominated time of possession 42-18 but threw 5 interceptions and turned it over on downs twice and gave up a punt return TD to boot.
