2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

So, my prelim list has 71 items on it. Note, I don't drink alcohol very much so the majority of said list is food. I have 3 days to do it. Some will be shared with my friend (she will be with me for 2 days). Some I may skip in the long run. Need to prioritize the list before we go and obviously there may be some changes as reviews come out from Mammoth Club, DFB, Allears, Tim Tracker, Paging Mr. Marrow, and more.
I have 41 items on my list and DH asked if they were all staying AFTER we see the vloggers reviews LOLOL. We arrive Sept 6th, so I hope they give us reviews right after the festival begins!!!!

Our arrival day is September 6 too! Fingers crossed there are at least a few videos/reviews out by then so we can see what we're working with!

We are going to F&W a few times on our trip in 2 weeks. I'm not sure if I am right, but I thought I read or saw a post about buying a specific payment card you can load for buying food at the booths. Is this correct & if so does any one know where to buy it at F&W.?

They have WDW gift cards that are on bands you can put around your wrist. If that is what you are asking about you can buy them at any of the gift shops in Epcot and most (if not all) of the merch. booths scattered throughout the festival. You just load however much you want on them and they scan them at the booths. You can load more if you run out. You can use them anywhere at WDW that is Disney owned, not just the booths. They are basically just WDW gift cards but are easier to use since you don't have to pull them out of a wallet. You will get a receipt each time you use it showing how much is left on it.

I use the Food and Wine app. It lists all the booths and prices. You can put things on your wish list and it will total up everything on the list. You can mark things tasted and it even has a place for notes. WDW Food &Wine app.
Food & Wine App??? I didn't know this existed!!

So anyone have an item or booth they are looking forward to the most?

Booth wise it has to be Japan for me. I want everything (non alcoholic lol) on the menu.

Specific items is a bit harder.

Drink: Mango Lassi (I love these things lol)
Food: Wagyu Temaki Sushi

I love the waffles at Belgium (boring I know :rotfl2:)

But this year among the new offerings the wine list looks like it's definitely been expanded so I'm excited about that!*

*my pocket book is not excited

Thank you, I knew about the gift the cards but the cards that go on the wrist was what I saw & read about & you've answered that perfectly for ME 👍

Question about the concerts.
Is there any chance anyone on here has seen 98 degrees perform at Epcot? I know they were there last year, I just watched the youtube video. But my daughter (who was a teen in the 90's LOL) and I were wondering if each of their 3 sets are the same?
They only played 2-3 of their own songs and then played other 90's hits such as Brittany Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC etc. and so we wondered if each set that evening would be the same of a mix or other 90's hits so I thought I'd see if anyone had seen them last year and would know? Thanks

I'm trying to decide the best touring plan for my Epcot days My thought was to eat around the world in the early part of the day, take a break at my Epcot resort, then return for rides, other attractions, and more grazing in the late afternoon. I've read here and there that the World Showcase kiosks, restaurants and anywhere else there's food gets jam-packed and have crazy lines in the heat in the afternoons. What do you think?

Depends. Weekday or weekend? The food booths don't open with the rest of the park so you would lose out on Rope drop low wait times. Weekdays I don't find the booths get to bad. Weekends on the other hand get busier and busier as the day goes on.

The day we are focusing on getting rides in, we rope drop, do everything in Future World, and then head to World Showcase when it opens. Now, we don't do Remy (motion sickness) and Frozen in a "if the line is short" sort of ride for us (though we will do it this year because of coming in on the Skyliner).

How crazy is the first Saturday of the F&W Festival? We are coming down for MNSSHP on the 30th and are contemplating going to Epcot on the 31st, flying home Sept. 1. So it's the only day we have the option of going. I'm not concerned about locals and/or people drinking, but are the food lines ridiculously long? Does it impact lines for attractions as well?

Weekdays. Monday all day, and Wednesday and Thursday from afternoon to evening. Maybe Friday too. I was thinking that the rides would be packed even from rope drop and then everyone would be hungry and fill up the World Showcase lines from the afternoon onwards.

Where did you read everywhere in World Showcase is jam-packed for lunch? Because that is really bad info. I would not listen to that source.

When I do lunch at the kiosks I start at 11am as lines slowly grow from there. Dinner gets crowded but the lines move quick.

That said, I will not do the festival in the afternoon during Sept. I tried that and I was so hot I really didn’t feel like eating anything. My food plan is indoor, AC lunch, long hotel break, festival for dinner.
