So I was watching Freshbaked and he mentioned why he is ok with the fireworks and paint the night coming back because he didn't mind bringing back great entertainment over risking a new show/parade being worst.

But I just think thats kinda a sad way to view the park, I love DIsney and most the rides I think should stay the same but shows? I would have loved new fireworks and parades over getting older shows back. Paint the night is amazing but really could not just make new floats and used a new soundtrack and highlighted other films or....I don't know do a new Parade based on Disney;and attractions like a HM Float, Pirates, Matterhorn and so on.

As for the fireworks, if we were going to pull from the history of the park then why not go and bring back Remember Dreams Come True the 50th Fireworks? I mean it relates to the parks and at least is older and some people might not have seen it over a show that was just at the parks like a year ago.

But what are your thoughts do you want them to keep just bringing back old parades and shows or are you ready for new shows?

When it came to theme park entertainment Disney Parks were known for it's Broadway style shows and marvelous parades and outstanding fireworks shows. Disneyland especially had some great Broadway style shows and wonderful parades. But if you look at Disneyland today they're lacking in great entertainment and it seems that the type of entertainment they're obsessed with are parades and to Disneyland they think parades are the easiest entertainment to design because the parades draw lots of people to watch them. But in my eyes I think the Broadway style shows are the weakest link of Disneyland because they have to audition singers dancers character actors and also performers such as mimes and clowns and they also have dance lessons singing lessons and voice coaching for the actors and performers and that gives Disneyland big money. What I think Disneyland could do is have parades that are interactive that guests could join and also develop interactive shows for guests to participate in and it would get huge attendance from visitors. As for the fireworks shows they could develop a show where an audio-animatronic Mickey would come out of the top of Sleeping Beauty Castle and wave his magic wand and fireworks would appear and the show would have a classical music soundtrack to accompany the fireworks show and it would be a magic hit with fans. In the shows department they should make musical shows about Disney fairy tales like Cinderella and I think a Cinderella show would be great to put in the Fantasyland Theater or develop a Sleeping Beauty show. But why they came up with shows like Festival Of The Lion King instead of a Princess themed show I can't understand. But I think for 2025 Disneyland should focus less on parades and develop original shows that are a winner with guests

It would be great if they'd put a show in the Hyperion for the 75th celebration, at least for the summer like they did with "Rogers." Sad to see that theater sitting empty.

I was hoping Magic Happens would be back. It has had a pretty short run overall (started 2 weeks before Covid shut the parks for over a year and then did not come back for a long time once parks did reopen). We really enjoy that parade and have seen it a bunch of times. I even will start singing the lyrics from it from time to time. Earlier this year while watching the parade, we saw a guy across from us doing all the dance moves and cast members were going up to him. Turns out he was a choreographer who helped train the dancers on the moves in the parade so he knew every step. Kind of fun to watch him.

All that said, I am absolutely thrilled Paint the Night is coming back. I love that parade too!

Why I also think Disneyland focuses more on developing parades is simply because as the previous poster Xipotec mentioned they want to attract the fans who want nostalgic Disney and what I think could happen is that Disneyland should develop a tribute parade celebrating Mickey Mouse and it would have floats based on Steamboat Willie and other Mickey Mouse cartoons and it would feature a song sung by singer Martina McBride and it would be a hit parade if it were to happen. I also agree with another poster that Disneyland should put another hit show to replace Rogers The Musical but I don't think that's ever gonna happen soon. But if they ever decide to do a new show for DCA's Hyperion Theater most likely it will be a musical based on Hercules because for some reason Hercules has been thought up many times as an idea for a Disneyland show and a Hercules musical show would be a smash hit and add a comedic style to Hercules and draw a mega audience to the Hyperion Theater

I am upset that there will be no Magic Happens parade and no new shows at all. These small cavalcades are cute but do not cut it.
I'm hearing rumors its because they have cut out so much back stage for SW and Toontown that they don't have room for two parades any more

Not sure if its true but what I've been hearing to why no two parades like for the 60th

Honestly, Wondrous Journeys is excellent, one of the best fireworks shows they've ever done anywhere, and trying to top it right now would only result in a worse show IMO, much like happened in Florida when they threw out Happily Ever After for Enchantment and, well, mostly what Enchantment did was remind people how much better HEA was, to the point that the former show (very justifiably) came back. They can have another crack at a fireworks show for the 75th and by that point we'll be ready for something new.

Remember is a great show, but I remember feeling it was past its prime the last time I saw it (in 2017 or so, by which point they had added projections). Especially with the decision to tack on the opening and closing of Wishes around the bulk of the show, a decision that was probably done for expediency's sake but has only aged worse and worse over time, Remember is a show that is great and nostalgic but in my view has aged more than many people might, well, remember.

They were very overdue to bring PTN back, so I can't really be bummed about that.

They are getting a new WOC, which would have happened anyway.

The only thing that really bums me out is that Magic Happens isn't running the entire year. It could be a problem of backstage logistics, but to me it feels like a budget cut.
