Did I miss something? Was a 2023 DVC Member Cruise already announced? If not, when do they usually announce it?

Just got the e-mail today. DVC Member Cruise is 4-8 Sep 2023 on the Wish.

OUR NEXT MEMBER VOYAGE IS A WISH COME TRUE!

Ahoy, Members! We’re excited to announce the 2023 Disney Vacation Club® Member Cruise aboard the all-new Disney Wish! This 4-night sailing departs from sunny Port Canaveral, Florida, on 9/4/2023, and will feature fun-filled stops at Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau, Bahamas.

Got the email too. Just dates announced. No booking information.

We had the 2021 cruise booked. Definitely eyeing the 2023 cruise.

Do these normally have to be booked on points?
Previously you could pay all cash. Lately, they seem to require at least one person on points. It's unknown if this member cruise will require one on points or not. Regardless of which way they go, you will have to be eligible for Membership Extras to book it.

Haven’t gotten the email. I do like that it’s 4 nights. Won’t use points though.

Just got the email saying booking opens July 23 and realized that the dates are September 4-8 — prime hurricane season, although admittedly more in the Gulf of Mexico. I guess demand for their regular cruises is somewhat diminished during that period, so they might as well save that time for the DVC members.

Not yet. But you can also book with only cash. Rent points and pay cash would most likely save you points. It would have in past!

  • Due to the unique nature of this special event, Disney Vacation Club has waived the policy of requiring at least one passenger to sail using Reservation Points. If Members would like to pay by using both cash and Reservation Points, individual passengers must be paid for by using all cash or all Reservation Points.

Member cruises have historically been in hurricane season. This is not new.

The Bermuda cruise actually had very hard seas. We missed the port of Boston! This is what our weather screen looked like. Still would not have missed that DVC MC for anything!!!
