Wish the Jollywood Nights was happening while we are there - we're doing a short weekend trip so we'll miss it. I love MVMCP but probably won't do it this year... but still TBD.

Wont be there for the HS event but will again for the Christmas party. Glad we will have actual prices this month since I will be then be able to decide which park tickets work for my friends!

We're looking to do both events, since we can arrive on Friday for one and stay through Sunday for the other. Is MVMCP like MNSSHP in how it sells out? Closer to Christmas sells out more quickly? We've never done the Christmas party.

I'm also waiting in the online queue to look at resort prices--I guess lots of traffic to book rooms as soon as these dates dropped!

TIcketed events like halloween or christmas parties do not require a park reservation.

Oh thank you! That makes me feel better. I'm just glad I made my park reservations when I did. I can't believe everything in December is reserved out now. Wild.

I just looked at the reservation calendar for regular tickets and APs and I didn't see that any dates were sold out, I'm curious where you're seeing that.

I was trying to drop my reservation on Dec 10 for one on Dec 4

Could the issue be that December 4th is outside of the highlighted date range?

ETA: I also have some existing reservations and the availability looks totally different when I try to modify vs. when I try to book a new reservation. It sounds like this is a moot point because you don't need a park reservation for HS if you're attending the HS party that night (unless you always want to visit HS during the day), but in the future you might have better luck just cancelling the one you don't want and making a new reservation for the date you do want.

Man, that is a really good point. I don't know why that range is highlighted. I did earlier change my hotel stay from Port Orleans (Dec 5-15) to Pop Century (Dec 3-17).. But I think that hotel stays are mutually exclusive from Park Reservations.

You're right. It is a moot point. My wife and I will be checking out Volcano Bay the morning of Dec 4th. That said, I still would like to know for sure what that highlighted section means. Thanks for pointing that out.

Interesting - the HS party include digital download of Photopass pictures.

That’s pretty cool with the unique characters that will be out and special shots offered.

Sure enough, that's it. The dates on the tickets are 6th - 19th. Ironically, they want nearly $200 to change the dates of the tickets to 4th - 17th (even though the dates closer to Christmas are more expensive)

EDIT **I called and they changed it for $50**

Does anyone recall whether the very first night of MVMCP was eligible for the DVC discount last year? I think most of the nights in November were eligible for the discount but can't seem to find it in writing anywhere. (We did the 2nd night last year and definitely received the discount.)
