2022 Points Charts being updated

DVC is already having some problems with fixed weeks with their recent increases. In 2014, a week at Poly Lake View for week 44 (Jersey Week) cost 153 points and the fixed week was 168 points.

I know this because we bought one.

The first higher reallocation was to 167 points, making my premium moot. Last year’s reallocation means my week now costs 181 points, meaning DVC will have to toss in 13 points each year to complete my reservation should I keep the guarantee. We never have before, but now we will start to do so.

I was waiting to see if this point fix would change this first week of Nov point cost but it did not.

1. Any further reallocation of Fall will only make our now fixed week discount higher.

2. Because we’re not first two weeks of Dec, we’re an anomaly. Only a few fixed weeks will benefit under this scenario. IF DVC seriously rebalances Dec such that it put their fixed weeks underwater, that could get expensive for them very fast.
Yeah, I'm in a similar beneficial situation, and honestly I'm now kicking myself for not buying a FW at Riviera when I bought direct there last year, but I had wanted to break my purchase into two smaller purchases so I could pass them along to my sons (or have options if I needed to sell in the future).

I purchased FWs at CCV in Studios for week 44 (special runDisney Food & Wine week), week 47 (Thanksgiving most years) and week 48 (first week of holiday season). Each of these weeks cost 118 points to purchase, which was a 10% premium when CCV opened (as those weeks cost 107 points then). In 2022, those same weeks cost 115, 126, and 121 respectively. If I were to use all 3 in 2022, I would "save" 8 points (and only pay a premium of 3 points instead of 11 points on my week 44). If I cancel, however, I only get back the points the FW cost me (118).
