2022 cruise release?

Anyone know how much of a premium July 4th would have on a 7 night Western Cruise?

Need to decide between 6/18 and 7/2 but won't see prices till 23rd March

At least now I can start my anticipation for Fall 2022..... too soon????? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Not at all, I was just thinking the same thing!! I'd been so excited keeping an eye out for this release and then it came out and I remembered, oh right, I'm actually most interested in the fall cruises out of NYC. Lol.

So excited!! I am currently booked on a MDAS cruise in Feb - and I may still do that one if the price isn't right this summer. BUT I was really also missing the Celebrity Edge and the only time in the foreseeable future I can do it is my Feb break week - the same time as the MDAS one. I was chatting with the owner of the travel agency I use this morning (before news of the new scheduled was all over) and said "If only DCL had their summer 2022 out then I could see if anything would work along with or in place of my WDW trip I've got scheduled already for my birthday in 2022..." and she said "They are coming out today!! Castaway booking starts next week!!"

So I looked and assuming the price doesn't get beyond me on Monday or before she gets through on Tuesday, I've narrowed it down to 2 options...

Option 1 - 5-Night Western Caribbean Fantasy 7/16 and follow it up with 5 nights at WDW
-or-
Option 2 - WDW before the cruise, early morning flight to MIA, and 5-night Western Caribbean Dream on 7/23.

Fantasy pros -
* It's out of PC, so no extra airfare/worry about the flight, though I looked for the equivalent day and there are like 5 flights I would be 100% comfortable with, 2 that I'd be ok with it I were bumped to them, and 1 that would be last resort.
* It would be nice to have the WDW portion to look forward to after the cruise - and I'd only do 4 days of tickets so I could relax the first day and a day in the middle of the WDW part.
*I'd be on the Fantasy on my birthday

Dream pros -
* I like the shows better.
* Theoretically I could alter my WDW dates beforehand and fly to MIA the day before...a hotel would be about the same as a mod at Disney...and remove the stress of a day-of flight even if it's just a short hop to Miami.
* It seems that more people like having the cruise to relax after the parks - though I could move them around and do parks before Fantasy also...

Other than preferring Golden Mickeys to Aladdin, there is not much that separates the ships for me. (I'm a forward cabin girl, so any potential aft vibrations don't bother me.

Ports are pretty much a draw... I love Grand Cayman, but there is still stuff I want to see from Cozumel also, and I don't hate it.

I emailed my TA today and she went ahead and booked the Edge for me so that doesn't increase between now and then, and she moved my WDW trip to fit with the Fantasy with the parks being after. She said we'll touch base on Monday so she has my preferences in place - I think she's going to try and get a feel for pricing on Monday, so I'll likely give her both cruise options and 3 categories to price, and then go from there.

My big advantage is that my school is still remote for Monday-Wednesday (we got shut down for 10 days because of unrelated positive tests within the building), so it'll be easier for her to get hold of me on Tuesday if she needs to.

If it were the Magic out of Miami and the Fantasy or Dream out of PC, it'd be an easy call. As it is, they're pretty much even.

That’s exactly what I’m hoping for, something for NYC Fall 2022 but I’m also okay with toying with something else while I’m waiting for that lol

6/18 is likely to be less expensive as it’s not “high summer” yet. But it probably won’t be that big of a difference. We are booking the 6/18 on Monday. HS graduation and 18th birthday present for our daughter.

I have no interest in a summer cruise to the Caribbean or Bahamas...none of us like the heat and not big beach people. Oh well.

We are booking 6/18 Western on Fantasy. 18th birthday and HS graduation present for daughter. She wants to eat in Remy (not a cheap date). We love a sunny beach and will be sailing Alaska in August on Celebrity (pushed from this summer).

Are you by any chance a geologist?

Does anyone know if DCL have previously been to Porto, Portugal, La Coruña, Spain, or Bilbao, Spain ? I was looking for information on the port adventures but those ports are not listed in the options available.

TIA :)

Happy to see the summer dates released.
Now I can cancel and rebook my Sept. 2021 to Sept. 2022. Also, I know that I want to go back onto the Dream before summer 2022 so that I don't have to drive all the way to Miami for just a long weekend.

Is there a forum for the opening day prices for the summer 2022 itineraries? I thought I found it but I think it was the 2021 summer itineraries mislabeled.

Finally!!! Woohoo!! DH and I have been discussing this all morning, back and forth. We've finally landed on the 11 night Iceland/Norway/Scotland cruise mid August to replace our 10 night Northern Europe this August. Come on Tuesday, I want to booooooook it! :rotfl2:
That's what we will be doing too. I wish they had the Akureyri port stop in Iceland, but there is an extra mainland stop in Scotland!

Now, just need to figure out what to book for the first half of that August.

Lol, I did major in geology. Never got a job in that field though! Wow, expensive date indeed! Your daughter must be a foodie.

She was raised by 2 foodies. She has been dreaming of the Remy cheese plate since she was 10!
I’m a geologist!

The Mods will add two threads before the booking opens on Monday: one for price requests from people asking Platinum members to get prices on opening day and one for price quotes from people who have gotten quotes/booked cruises on Platinum/Gold booking dates.

Can't wait to book the EBTA on Tuesday when gold window opens!
My wife and I had booked the EBTA that was supposed to cruise this year. I thought about booking the 2022 one just announced, but it overlaps with the B2B Hawaii cruises we booked for next year

Cool! Nice to "meet" a geologist on here! Lol, we're starting to get a bit off topic, so I'll just wish you good luck booking your cruise, and I hope your daughter enjoys Remy next year!

Hi all,
With the release of the Summer 2022 itineraries, I'm aiming to book a couple cruises on Monday.
Will they open bookings at 12.01 AM or 8.00 AM on monday?

So no Hubbard Glacier for 2022. Hoping they plan to offer a 9 night with the Hubbard Glacier for 2023, but if they don't there is always Royal Caribbean, which also includes land tours to Denali as an add-on option. Bit of a bummer that it seems the Wish will just be doing 3 and 4 night PC-Bahamas loops instead of the Dream. To build such an amazing boat just for short snoozy itineraries seems like a waste. Would be so cool if they did a Transatlantic instead.

FYI, this website had the initial port schedule out for the 2022 Alaska season in January, so you can check it next year to get an early idea of Alaska 2023. Note that while it is subject to revision, Disney Wonder was fully in it, so it was easy to tell in January what its full Alaska 2022 schedule was going to be [and that it was all 7d with no Hubbard]. Just navigate the top menu of the page to get to the schedule/page you want - the link below takes you to the page for the 2022 schedule.
