Anyone else concerned the Coronavirus could still be an issue in 2021? I’m wanting to book a cruise out of Rome for summer 2021 but am hesitant...just wondering what everyone else’s thoughts are.

Yes—that is why we took the refund option for our cancelled cruise vs. rebooking. Our main concern is that my husband will lose his job (and I am unemployed at the moment) and we would be in no position to spend more $ on a vacation next year. We will cruise eventually since a large part of the refund is on Disney gift cards but we are waiting to book anything new.

I'm not particularly worried about the virus in 2021 (at least not yet). However now that all restaurants/bars and some other industries are shutting down I won't be booking any further vacations until I'm comfortable with our financial hit. Thousands of people have been laid off in my city over the last few days...! Both my husband and I are safe for now, but my husband works in the aeronautical industry and my industry can be volatile too though I'm in IT and relatively safe in that role... still, once things stabilize I'll feel much better!

That's how we are feeling. Had our eyes on a 5 night double dip for this June, but that's not gonna happen. Now we're debating putting something down for a 7 night West Caribbean in May '21.

I’m booked for Aug. ‘21. The only thing left of this virus by then will be bad TP jokes.

That’s actually when I’m thinking of booking...well either June or August. Looking at DCL and also possibly a less expensive line like NCL...what cruise are you booked on if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just wondering what kind of shape Italy will be in after this...this is all just such a nightmare and is so devestating :(

Did you have to bring up toilet paper? I’m heading out first thing in the morning in search of it. I always thought I needed a weapon to protect my family and valuables. Now I feel like the need It to protect my toilet paper. My store was even out of coffee filters and I’m sure you all can figure out why.

I saw an article about something called family tp(or something like that, I read the article a few weeks ago.) It's a roll of thick material, like cloth diapers that you can but on Etsy. You use, wash it, and re-use. Apparently some people were already doing this long before the virus/tp shortage. I'm just glad our stores have been getting items in regularly. Now if they run out of chocolate or wine I'll be worried!!!

I wouldn't have an issue booking. I haven't booked simply because I will wait for guaranteed rates and if they come in low enough during a time I can sneak out of work without much disruption.

I don't see much downside to booking last minute because missing out on a tasting or Remy isn't the end of the world to me.

Flip side I already have Jan 2021 booked for WDW and plan on a Dec 2021 booking as well since i book those far out with DVC. I would likely look to book a September Alaska cruise if we didn't have France booked (which who knows if we will be able to go).

I just honestly wonder what kind of state Italy will be in...even over a year from now. I just wonder what the aftermath of this thing is going to look like for everyone especially hard hit countries like Italy. I hope and pray they can bounce back quickly.

Norway! Just DW and myself. 🙂

I booked a 9/2021 cruise two weeks ago and I’m glad I did. I won’t make any payments until October at least and we should know a lot more by then.

My family has a 5 night on the Magic for March 2021 booked. I have about half of it paid off, usually make a payment each month. I probably won't make any more payments for awhile. I'm hopefully that if the virus comes back next Spring either there will be a vaccination or the outbreak won't be as bad. More worried about when dh will be laid off.
