2021 Halloween Time Superthread *September 3-October 31* *Oogie Boogie Bash Returns on Select Nights*

You bet, it’s been a plan of mine to help you all out where I can. Going tomorrow for the first night. If there’s anything you all would specifically like me to keep an eye out for please let me know!

I'd like to know about the meet and greet/photo ops. The characters are actually there but you are not near them? Who are the classic characters at the Carthay Theater?

Could you post the map? or entertainment schedule?

So excited for you!

Ok sounds good I’ll try and dig up some info and post later tonight when I get back!

Hello. I'm wondering if someone is going tonight that they might report back on how the virtual queue will work for Spiderman Webslingers. I'm going on Saturday. We'll get to the park around 3pm, but I'm not sure if reservations will already be full from the 12pm window. Not sure how it will work. Will they just not do the virtual queue or how it's working. I would sincerely appreciate any help/advice.

So excited over here, can't wait for people to start reporting back!!

On Twitter they’re already reporting that per the CMs, webslingers will be standby only, starting at 6 pm. So no virtual queue, just a regular line

I am also very interested in what the crowds are like at 3:00 PM to start planning that mix-in strategy. As well as any other tips people learn. I am going on 9/19 so any trip reports will be greatly appreciated.

I’ve just been stalking the Oogie Boogie Bash hashtag on Twitter and the crowds looked pretty big for getting in and getting the event wristband tonight—some people saying they waited 45 min, others saying 75 min to get in and get the wristband.
Once you get in, someone posted if you go to Blue Sky Cellar to get the wristband, much much shorter wait.

Here now. Staying at GC so we had no wait getting in at 5:45 and got our wristbands and treat bag there too. We went straight to web slingers they had a queue started was only a 10 minute wait. Now in line at radiator springs, says 30 min wait but looks more like 20 tops. Treat trail lines are pretty long so we’ve decided to do rides first. Stay tuned!

What we’ve seen so far I would say less than 50% are dressed up (we’re Minnie and Mickey, somehow I got my hubby to agree to this).

**my guy Mickey just said way less more like 20% in costume. He’s feeling more stupid as the minutes go by…. Although some guy dressed as Gaston gave him this look like I know man, I know.

I came in at 3PM and the lines to get in the park were not super long, I think I waited 10 min to get in and about the same to get a wristband. The park was a bit crowded between 3pm and 6pm but wait times were still low, RSS was only 25 min. As far as I can tell, there is NO party specific clothing merch. The “official party jersey” is the Oogie Boogie jersey that’s been available at WDW for weeks. The tee they’re selling is the orange/purple/white dip dye that’s been available on line for weeks. I believe there is a party specific pin, though.

Mickey and Minnie in front of the Big Wheel viewing area in some sort of purple Victorian vampire get up…. My husbands words.

I think there are probably a lot of bloggers there tonight and they probably didn’t want to bother with costumes. I’m betting (hoping) later parties will see more costume.

So we are headed out this weekend doing DL on Saturday and OBB on Sunday. Good to hear you can still get wristbands at Blue Cellar!

Silly question, this is our first time going since reservations were a thing. If we take an afternoon break will we have any issues getting back into DL on Saturday?

So the walk thru experience at the trail by grizzle river rapids is packed! The line looks to be about 200 people deep, lots of queues weave in and out. Looks super cool but we’re not waiting in that line. My advice, get there early and line up and do it first thing.

I'm staying first floor at GCV and can hear what I can only assume if the villains area. Sounds amazing and busy so wish I could see more lol.

I’ve read some reports from prior years, to do this a bit later in the evening. So would appreciate knowing if the line is a bit shorter as it does get later, if you have a chance to swing by again,

Did you pick these up at the GC DCA entrance or somewhere else in the hotel? Also, how big are the treat bags? This will be my first park party in a long time & I’ve read the bags are not really big enough for a lot of treats.
