2021 Halloween Time Superthread *September 3-October 31* *Oogie Boogie Bash Returns on Select Nights*

It was offered in 2019, and you recall correctly.

I'm usually a sucker for events like this and did not bother with the Dessert Party.
Same here. We found great parade viewing for free and enjoyed our own desserts!

And it is so good to see you back posting in this year's Halloween thread! Is there any chance you'll be able to attend OBB this year?

I was on the Disneyland website looking at dining and I came across the oog boogy dessert party. If your interested I guess watch for Disney to release details.
It looks like you were onto something! Disney Parks Blog officially announced the Oogie Boogie Dessert Party at Sonoma Terrace, and the sit-down meal at Wine Country Trattoria.

Yes! I just posted the link to Disney Parks blog

quick tangent.....Is there an official christmas party thread yet? having trouble finding it.

sorry for the interruption

Just double checking…

If you have tickets for OBB, you don’t need to make a separate reservation for the park. You can just go into DCA at 3pm with your OBB ticket, right?

Edit: OK, I see where it says no reservation is required for the mix in.

Wasn't this what was offered in 2019 with parade viewing? If I recall, the reviews were very mixed.
I'm trying to remember, but I think they had a dinner package, a meal that then included a reserved viewing location.... which wasn't great. I'm not sure if they had the seated dessert during the parade (kinda like the World of Color dessert package)... though I also do kinda remember sitting down and watching the parade at a table.

Either way sitting down instead of standing for that parade is worth the cost alone for me, the dessert is a bonus, lol

The happy news: We will be in SoCal during fall break in October and can spend a day at DLR! 🎡
The sad news: This trip just got finalized, so OBB is sold out for our dates. 😭

First world problems, I know. I guess I'll check daily in the hopes that additional tickets might be released for one of the two dates that would work for us. I would very much prefer party tickets to a regular day ticket. But I can't complain too loudly - we're still going back to Disney!

I know details to this year’s bash haven’t been released, but in the past what is there to do? All are rides open?

yes, I bought tickets without knowing anything, because I felt this would have been better then trick or treating. I can’t wait until my youngest outgrows trick or treating.

I don't remember if all the rides were open, but many were open.

There were many trick or treat trails. Some had very long lines at the beginning of the party but others had zero lines. So, if you see a long line, you may want to skip that trail and hit the ones at the furthest back point of the park first. A couple hours into the party, the trails all seem to balance out.

There's plenty to do and I don't think I was able to do/see everything. I was with someone who wanted to do all the trick or treat trails a couple times, though. There was a small parade. I expect you'll have a good time. It was more scary themed than the Halloween parties that were in DL, but I thought it was much better overall and even with the emphasis on the villains, it's still Disney and not horror type.

Here is a review I found online that I was referencing when trying to figure out what to do. It seems it will be extremely close to what happened in 2019 minus the Villainous show where World of Color is. This should give a good idea.

So excited, got tickets for Sept 16th, DD's 13th birthday. Can't wait to see the foods!

That is the same night I'm going with my family! (I'm going a couple of weeks later with friends, too.)

We need to start costume planning; it's only just over a month away! 😱
