2019 Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Thread. Now with extra BAM!

We did the party Saturday night, 11/23. It was our first Dessert Party at WDW. We have done one at California Adventure previously.

We checked in at about 6:45 pm, were given our lanyards and seat assignment and told to return at 7:15 to be let in. We were at our table and had our 1st drinks by 7:20. We were a party of two and were told we would likely be sharing a table. Another couple sat down at our table around 8:05 or so but only stayed a few minutes so I am not sure what was going on there. We really enjoyed the location of the party, it never once felt too crowded and the view of the Christmas Tree and Gertie were great!

We tried several savory snacks as well as the desserts, enjoyed everything we tried. There was plenty of time to eat as much as you liked as there was essentially no lines for the food. The bartenders were amazing and would pour anything you liked, provided they had it. I highly recommend the gingerbread martini. My husband enjoyed the Red Stag over ice, at the bartenders recommendation. He was not really interested in the hot chocolate it was served with on the menu. We were able to meet Chip and Dale with a short line.

They started to encourage you to move out to the viewing area around 8:15 but we hung around until 8:25/8:30 and grabbed another drink to take with us to the viewing area. It was our 1st time seeing JBJB so I can't really comment on how we felt about the viewing area compared to elsewhere in the park but we did like not being in a crowded area. Loved the 3D glasses with the show and the ornament you are given is a nice touch.

Overall, we were pleased with the entire experience and thought it was worth the money, especially if you enjoy alcoholic beverages. We would definitely do a DHS dessert party again in the future. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions.

great info, thanks so much! what time did the show finish up around? TIA

Approx what time do people start to gather to see this? My DD and I are hoping to get to see JBJB on Dec 6th. The thing is we've got a jam packed day planned...starting with RD at AK, then hopping to Epcot around noon and doing a CPL lunch package for the 5pm show. Right after that we are going to DHS to do whatever we can but finishing the day off with JBJB if we can last that long.

Thanks for the review! We are doing this on Friday and I can't wait!

Was the ornament the Jingle Bell Jingle Jam one?

I’m not gonna lie I love this show the have yourself a merry little Christmas with my entire family around made me so happy.

Anyone have photos of this gingerbread martini???

The new magic kingdom fireworks are awful without it lyrics...

Not sure if you guys have seen this or not, but Blog Mickey posted a video from the reserved dessert party viewing area from when they attended a couple of weeks ago

Yes, it was the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam ornament.

I get that it’s cheaper and more convenient for them to use the same included gifts over and over again, but it’s kind of annoying to me for repeat visits. It doesn’t make me not re-book, which is probably why they don’t feel the need to change it up, but it sure would be nice to get something different each year. Both to reduce redundancy and to actually have a separate memory from each separate trip. We got 4 of these ornaments last year, and now I guess we’ll get 4 more this year.

I particularly think they should change the seasonal gifts. For the regular one it makes a little more sense that it’s the same, although I would still argue that they could at least change it every year-ish. I mean, how long has it been Darth Vader steins for the Star Wars dessert party?

We attended this past Friday night and the ornament was different from previous years. The last 2 years we got a gray metal one, this year it's clear glass with Jingle Bell Jingle Bam on it. The picture is very small though, sort of hard to tell what it says. I don't like it as much as previous years but at least it's different.

That’s good! The picture I saw was the same one as we got last year- round grey metal bulb that said Jingle Bell Jingle Bam. Maybe I misread that it was the same, and they were posting last years ornament. I would love to get a different one this year.

Going with the idea that the party is the goal and not the show. When do they close down the party?

I've seen this show before in early Dec 2017 and it was pretty hard to get a spot because we rushed over after seeing Fantasmic and by then most of the areas were full. Im going again Dec 6th (day after Rise of resistence opens). Im not going to Fantasmic this time. How early should I get there to get a good spot and can anyone recommend any specific good areas to watch the show if I have a short 10 year old?

I had read that they gave a different ornament Nov 13 (and possibly other early parties) when the probably didn't have stock of the Jingle BAM ornament.
https://i2.wp.com/easywdw.com/repor...essert_party_disney_hollywood_studios-135.jpgMaybe ask a CM if you could have an alternative because you already have 4 from last year. They will likely give it if they have. Good luck. And have fun!
