2018 Free Dining Watch Thread V3

Got up at 3:45 to do this, but it was worth it. Got our 7 days at CBR. Took about 1.5 hours of working the site to get it to go through.

OH HAPPY DANCE! I FINALLY got a room only discount! I was able to make the switch at about 4:30 this morning for the RO discount. I got everything switched and it saved us about $600.00 for our stay! However, now I look and the passholder discount is even better and it includes CL rooms. So I tried modifying it online again, and it tells me I have to call to make the change. So I'm on hold for the 2 HOUR WAIT! Ugh! And that was calling in at 6:01am. AND IT'S STILL a 2 HOUR WAIT! Holy Crap Batman!

Yes. I’ll try and reply with the link. You have to use your Disney Visa to get the offer on earlier dates.

I went with the 20% off room offer instead of free dining. They said I had to cancel and re-book and I was not going to pay the parking fees that I had to pay if I did so. Plus I have already paid half the room and they wanted to refund the money and get a new $200. It was just easier and I saved over $1300 not getting free dining after the RO discount. It was fun watching with y'all. See you next year!

Now the website isn't even letting me get to the special offers page on either my phone or my laptop so I know it is not my internet connection. Im going to be really bummed if I cant get this because I've been up trying for so long and I have to leave in 30 minutes.

Did you check under my reservations to see if it is there

Did you try modifying your reservation? Some people are reporting success with booking 4 nights, even though it's advertised as 5 night min. I would give it a try!

I tried at 5:03 and it was a no go. Now the website is crashing. Oh well. Thanks anyway!

I was up but nothing for the Poly. I’m now considering renting points for a Studio as I think that would save us a lot more than a RO discount

It actually will, that what we did BUT it will be extremely difficult to get Poly studio for this yr at this point, I signed my contract Oct 2017 for our Sept 2018 VGF and PVB stays...

I booked for 4 nights and got free dining. Apparently it's not listed correctly on the Disney website.

SO... I've had almost no sleep chasing free dining for two nights now. I can't tell if I got free dining or not, and will have to call Disney and be on hold until the cows come home to straighten this out. DD thinks maybe we should pay OOP for food and go with our TA offer at AKL. AND the cat just puked again. Not exactly the "MAGICAL" morning I'd hoped for...

Did you check your reservation under MDE? If so did you click on view details ? If you go to your reservation and click change it should tell you what offer you currently have.

How did you get that???? I tried but cold only book CL or 2 BD cl. I needed 2 rooms so it was a no go for me

Just curious -What time did you get through? Online or phone? Been trying to modify Beach Club reservation since 5:00am for week of Dec. 22nd and no luck - just kept showing standard price. Tried as a new reservation as well, but just standard price. Now of course site down.

I could not modify mine at all.

I ended up booking Old Key West (thank goodness I looked for my back up plan ahead of time, I would have been all kinds of flustered) 2 bedroom villa. The cost is over $1000 less than the two rooms at the BC if I have gotten FD, and about $4000 less than if I had just kept what I had.

Agreed, I tried to get the poly for 11/30-12/2 last month and still no luck with dvc

You will need to put names down. Do not make yourself lead guest on both rooms. I have my daughter on one, and me on the other.

crud, this might be where I screwed up. I made 2 reservations, 2 rooms, 2 guests per room. Have each of my kids on a room but put me as the primary on both.....and poor dh isn't on either Someone please tell me I can modify this, it's 8:00 and i think the odds of getting a new reservation must be getting slim

Can you only cancel by calling? I have a cancel reservation button but have heard you can only do it by phone. No way am I calling anytime soon LOL
