Spreadsheet has been updated with the prices posted by DFB & WDWNT so far. Last year's prices for returning items & the difference are on the far right. Looks like modest increases so far. A few jacked up.

And I'm not sure why you want to police something Disney themselves labeled as fun for all ages and hasn't asked for proof of age at the time of booking?

I’m sorry, but it’s candy sushi made with rice crispy treats and other junk food. It’s for kids. Just because they let you come doesn’t mean it’s actually catering to adults. And the fact that it’s for all ages means that it will be for the lowest common denominator easy to do. That would be kids. So what we going to have as adults going “ well it wasn’t very sophisticated or it wasn’t very good” because they’re expecting something impressive and are going to get something Designed for a five-year old


Maybe I’m wrong and the kids will be frustrated and upset because they can’t do this fancy sophisticated sushi designed for 30-year-olds, but I expect it’s going to actually be the other way.

Any tips for getting candy sushi event registration. I am late to the party and tried calling today for end of Sept and it is all booked.

I only just registered today for this coming Friday (two days from now) - I tried putting in this weekends time and dates a few times and got nothing, but kept refreshing and after a couple of tries, a spot opened up for 5.30pm on Friday. Just keep trying when you get chance.

Hopefully Disney will see how popular this event has turned out to be and will added more spots. Sunshine Seasons is an odd place to host a culinary demonstration, even a silly one like Candy Sushi.

I don't think Disney has an age on any F&W events, do they?

Some have said kids shouldn't go to things like French Family Meal Traditions or Tokyo Pairing. Mine have gone since they were 10 and LOVE them. Going again in Nov.

While the candy sushi strikes me as aimed more at kids, I'm sure some adults will have a blast. And interestingly, my kids have no interest.

I feel like Disney is largely exempt from the age thing... for the young and young at heart, no?

I agree with this. I would say more often than not DH and I do things that are geared more towards kids at Disney, but maybe we are just weird lol

Disney does not have an age restriction on any Food and Wine events. I think however that they tried to discourage families from bringing younger children by not offering any reduced pricing to any of the events involving alcohol. And over the years I’ve seen a lot of very bored and unhappy kids making their parents unhappy at party for the senses. Yes I know everyone on here will say their child was wonderful. But trust me not all of them are thrilled to be there

There was one kid at my Tequila lunch and about halfway through the meal he has enough. I’ll give Mom credit, she got up and left fairly quick but they missed half the event.
