2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

I never expected PFTS to be available on Nov 11, thinking it was an Oct thing- so our BOG reservation is that night! I could cry. Admittedly at this point we're on the fence about PFTS, $179 is a lot of money. But, coming from CA I have no idea if/when we'll ever go to the Festival again. I'm the researcher for this trip & my parents are going to choke on the price but they are willing to pay up for special experiences. I feel like I've talked myself into justifying spending $179 on it but I have no idea how to sell them on joining me...

Good luck! I too have a conflict with a BOG dinner but have another date available. I have never done PTFS, but am going to try to convince my sister and BFF that we should too. I was thinking about the $199 level since guaranteed seating and only $20 more but not sure if it is needed. No way I can justify the $300+ level though.

$179 has guaranteed seating this year as well! It does say "obstructed or distant view" if that matters.

I would definitely recommend guaranteed seating.

So I think I'm going to get a reservation for my Mom, Sister and I for Party for your Senses on the September 23. It's actually my mom's 60th birthday so we were going to take her out to dinner I think this might be perfect while we are there.

I'm up in the air with Trader Sams which is happening the day I arrive.

Kinda of upset Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining with Morimoto is the day before I arrive. I would definitely pay money to do that.

They have not had it every weekend in the past so I am not real surprised. I am thinking they might have another event to put in the space on some of those empty weekends. Maybe they are not posting "new" stuff until after this weekend?

If there is another event that night that is similar I would be interested. I'm anxious to see the official announcements. I'm just broken hearted because PFTS is what I wanted to do for my birthday.

I've attended PFTS in the past and loved it. I'll be attending again this year. In the past the "cheap" seats weren't guaranteed. Last year they brought out extra tables and everyone was able to sit. This year I would expect that with the cheap seats they will place you with others. Most people will have a view of the entertainment except for about 8 tables, but it shouldnt matter. Half of the time you will be walking around to view the different offerings that they have.

Alright, got the food items added in. Will work on drinks later today. I've highlighted in purple items that seem to be new and in orange items that are returning but look heavily modified. Booth names in italic are new or returning after hiatus.

This is brilliant! I'm so going to use this to tick off what we plan on eating and to help figure out how much it will all cost! Thank you!

I called 407-939-3378 & she said there is no early access for DVC or Disney VISA card holders.
I'd be surprised if this info is accurate. Nothing has been posted on the Chase Disney Visa site yet.

Big disappointment for me--no jalapeño margaritas in Mexico. They are listing prickly pear and pomegranate margaritas instead. I hope that one or both of them are on the rocks and that neither is mezcal.

I was hoping that the martini in France would be something other than passion fruit, but passion (aka perfume) flavor is back.

On the plus side, the food samples I most enjoyed are back. Verlasso salmon, pork belly in Brazil, smoked brisket over garlic toast and those perennial favorites in Canada.

The beer selection seems light again although there is something new called "Light Lab" with 6 beers. I know that the one from Long Island (Hoptical Illusion) is very good.

Positve way of looking at it!

My mother and I will most likely be booking a Mexican Tequila Lunch and one of the Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining (Narcoossee's)

My wife and I did the Mexican Tequila Lunch last year and loved it. We were seated across from each other, and other families were seated next to us.

This will be my first year at the festival and I can't wait! Probably not going to try for any of the seminars (we only have 2 full days and 1 evening at Epcot). Would rather relax and eat and imbibe and soak it all in.

Be sure to visit the Festival Center on your first day even if you're not doing a seminar. That's where main gift shop and Ghirardelli Chocolate is located. Also, although not considered a booth, I like visiting Intermission Cafe for my first Food & Wine food experience of the day because it opens at 9am.

I've updated several of the initial posts on this thread with today's information so it will easier to locate. I'll keep posting updates and links there as additional information becomes available.

I'm confused - sorry to you F&W veterans.

Is there a ticket/passport that you can buy ahead of time to try something at each of the kiosks/markets?
Or is it basically that epcot turns into one huge food court of deliciousness? How about alcohol/flights......again is it buy each item you want, or are there packages to prepurchase?

We are not interested in any of the presentations, lectures, etc. - anything you need to make reservations for. prefer to just amble and graze.

thx

Not really, it's just pay as you go. In the past they have offered a lanyard deal that you could buy for $XX that came with coupons good on most items, it only made sense to purchase if you knew you'd be buying items worth more than each coupon cost. Sounds like for you there's nothing to do now, but you might want to review the menus to determine if there's anything you REALLY want to eat/drink before you hit the park to graze or you'll be grazed out by booth #5... of 35. (Also, plan on sharing! You get to try a lot more doing that!)

Thanks @crazy4wdw for highlighting my spreadsheet on the first page! I got the drinks in, so it should have all the booth information that was announced today. I'll update/clean up things over the next few weeks. Need to mark vegan stuff but probably will have to wait until the actual menus are up at the booths.
