Probably to thin the crowds for only having 14 days instead of 17 as Sherry E pointed out.Ohmygosh those prices look high!

After I commented I saw the bit about the Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree overlays. I am not getting a sense that those will take a lot of down time, if any. I think you'll be OK. And the land will definitely stay open.
I think they are turning the land -- the city/town of Radiator Springs -- into Radiator Screams. It says that it has a "happy Hallo-theme all over Cars Land."
What do you mean? Can cardholders still buy early on Monday? And no love for Disney Visa cardholders. Do I sense a break-up coming?
Dang. I bought 3 day tickets thinking we could just go in on Wednesday on the Halloween tickets. Does anyone know if we can upgrade to four day tickets at the main gates?
Really want to hear about the Blue Bayou Halloween dining party package. Is that completely new?

Last year they told us that in the announcement but no mention of it this year.Yes. That was one of my first thoughts. I get the sense that this whole 2-park experiment for the party is their way of getting everyone used to having the party only in DCA starting next year (assuming that is what happens).
You should be able to just call the ticket line on Monday morning, with your Disney Visa in hand, and order the tickets. The AP holders can generally order online, but the Disney Visa folks have to call in.
I saw no mention of it in the announcement so assumed we were outta luck but Sherry suspects we still can by calling. Let's call! We don't have anything to lose! What do you mean? Can cardholders still buy early on Monday?
I think this delay for Halloween Time just ruined our trip. We're going sept 9-13. So basically everything will be closed for overlay especially now with Cars Land added. Talk about going at the worst time. Not a short trip either. Come from NY
They just priced us out. and no AP discount on the only night we can go.Ohmygosh those prices look high!
I don't think it's new...it sounds like the same basic idea as the package they offered last year. My family did it and it was a lot of fun...there was a special menu (some unique/package only offerings) and reserved viewing for the Frightfully Fun Parade.Really want to hear about the Blue Bayou Halloween dining party package. Is that completely new?
