2017 DISNEYLAND RESORT HALLOWEEN TIME / MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THREAD!

Does the Halloween party ticket get you fast pass access? I know it's unlikely to show up at 3 and get fast passes for any of the big rides at CA but just curious if it's an option.

So the tickets now include photopass? I wonder if that would include ride photos for the 3 hours before the party starts? Even at CA?

After I commented I saw the bit about the Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree overlays. I am not getting a sense that those will take a lot of down time, if any. I think you'll be OK. And the land will definitely stay open.

I think they are turning the land -- the city/town of Radiator Springs -- into Radiator Screams. It says that it has a "happy Hallo-theme all over Cars Land."

Thank you for trying to talk me off the ledge. :) Trying to be positive... this is our first time ever going to DCA and it would just be my luck for half of it to close. :P Fingers crossed.

Dang. I bought 3 day tickets thinking we could just go in on Wednesday on the Halloween tickets. Does anyone know if we can upgrade to four day tickets at the main gates?

Yes, it's easy-peasy to add another day to your ticket. We just added a 5th day to DH's 4-day pass a couple of weeks ago at the ticket booth. Just make sure you add it sometime before the end of your 3rd day.

Really want to hear about the Blue Bayou Halloween dining party package. Is that completely new?

I was wondering about that too. Seems they aren't doing the BB party this year. It says reservations open up for this on the 24th, so hopefully they'll announce more on the blog soon.

Ohmygosh those prices look high!

Yes. That was one of my first thoughts. I get the sense that this whole 2-park experiment for the party is their way of getting everyone used to having the party only in DCA starting next year (assuming that is what happens).

What do you mean? Can cardholders still buy early on Monday?

You should be able to just call the ticket line on Monday morning, with your Disney Visa in hand, and order the tickets. The AP holders can generally order online, but the Disney Visa folks have to call in.

I think this delay for Halloween Time just ruined our trip. We're going sept 9-13. So basically everything will be closed for overlay especially now with Cars Land added. Talk about going at the worst time. Not a short trip either. Come from NY

Last year they told us that in the announcement but no mention of it this year.

Gosh, I'm so excited that there is an option to visit DCA for the 3 hours prior to the party. That will hopefully help with the overcrowding in Disneyland during the overlap.

But on the plus side, you will get to see Fantasmic plus fireworks on Friday night vs being closed and paying extra for MHP and the crowd might be a little less crazy and I'm guessing (correct me if I am wrong) the parks in general will be quieter with Labor Day over, plus Halloween hasn't started, plus school being in session.

WOW! Prices really shot up again this year. I might only be able to afford going two times this year. Please note: parking is not included with admission. I hate that parking is not included

I don't think it's new...it sounds like the same basic idea as the package they offered last year. My family did it and it was a lot of fun...there was a special menu (some unique/package only offerings) and reserved viewing for the Frightfully Fun Parade.

It sounds like HalloweenTime will be bigger this year...it should be fun!

I can see how there is confusion about MHP and the 2 parks. The text that mummabear found (and pasted here in this thread a page or two ago) was worded in such a way to make it sound like DCA would be directly involved in the party. But then the wording elsewhere made it seem as though it is, indeed, Disneyland only.

This was the confusing sentence:

"New for Mickey’s Halloween Party: Ability to visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park with special event ticket during Mickey’s Halloween Party—entry to either park begins 3 hours before the Party start time"

I think the "during Mickey's Halloween Party" is the part that could lead people to think that DCA is involved in the party.

We have not gotten the announcement about it from the Parks Blog yet. Erin mentioned it in the Parks Blog last year. This year, so far we have only seen the Halloween info from the Disneyland website. But you will be able to order your tickets with your Disney Visa on Monday.

I saw no mention of it in the announcement so assumed we were outta luck but Sherry suspects we still can by calling. Let's call! We don't have anything to lose!

There has not been an "announcement." That's what people are not realizing. The Parks Blog has not done their Halloween Time announcement yet, and that is where the Disney Visa reference would be. The only info we have gotten has been from the Disneyland website. That's info on a website, not a press release or a blog.
