My head is exploding with info right now!:sunny: We will be in Disneyland Sept 12-16th. Sucks that so many rides will be down for overlays at the beginning, but so freaking excited to be one of the first to see all the new overlay stuff on the 15th!!!!!!!

Speaking of, does anyone have the link to the exact dates the rides will close down for overlays?!? I remember the space mountain one was hidden/hard to find.

Did I count correctly, or did I miss something? Are there only 14 party nights this year (down from 17 last year)?

Would they really close all of Carsland at the same time? Please someone tell me they aren't that mean. :(

Yep, but since it looks like there will be both parks involved, maybe more people will be able to attend the 14 days?

No. Cars Land gets Holiday/Christmas decorations and the land stays open. They're just decorating it and putting up Halloween touches. I see nothing about a specific overlay on any rides in DCA.

Don't worry.

I guess that's one way to look at it!

crap there is only a party on a friday when we are there. i wanted a wednesday so the party would start at 6. oh well such is life.

The way I read it, you can use your ticket at either park for the 3 extra hours, but then the party is just at Disneyland.

Your ticket lets you enjoy both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park for up to 3 hours before Mickey’s Halloween Party starts. Then you’ll be trick-or-treated to 5 hours of fright-astic fun at Disneyland Park, including special Halloween-themed attractions, Character Greetings, fireworks, the Ride of the Headless Horseman and more.

Oh wait, now I see the part about "Go for a spellbinding spin on Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree—both are decked out with new howliday-themed music and décor!"

That doesn't sound like an extensive, 'close the ride for 2 weeks' sort of thing, in my opinion. Maybe, at most, they might need 2 or 3 days of down time. But possibly not.

The after-hours party will still only be at Disneyland.

Oh I hope so!! I assumed the Radiator Screams would mean a ride overlay /closure as they do with SM and HM?

After I commented I saw the bit about the Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree overlays. I am not getting a sense that those will take a lot of down time, if any. I think you'll be OK. And the land will definitely stay open.

I think they are turning the land -- the city/town of Radiator Springs -- into Radiator Screams. It says that it has a "happy Hallo-theme all over Cars Land."

Dang. I bought 3 day tickets thinking we could just go in on Wednesday on the Halloween tickets. Does anyone know if we can upgrade to four day tickets at the main gates?
