(Note to self: I am just now seeing that it would be a good idea to include the Parks Blog announcement dates since 2009/2010 for each Halloween Time/MHP too, just for reference!)
I have those:
May 28, 2010 (Friday)
July 1, 2011 (Friday)
June 25, 2012 (Monday)
July 1, 2013 (Monday)
July 2, 2014 (Wednesday)
July 15, 2015 (Wednesday)
July 13, 2016 (Wednesday)

The Parks Blog got its start in late September of 2009. There were a number of HalloweenTime posts that first day, but none was an announcement for a Halloween Party.

Thank you, figment_jii! I didn't know you had posted them. I was in the process of gathering the links and dates to the Parks Blogs from the previous years at the same time you posted the dates above, I think, and was trying to edit my above post with the info -- but my page or browser keeps slowing down due to ads, banners and whatever else scrolling across the top (I noticed this yesterday too, in a different thread), and I decided to try to reopen the page and thread to see if it would run a little better. That's when I saw your post! I had only gotten as far as 2011 before I had to try to reopen the page.

It's driving me bonkers too. FWIW when I run this website in Edge the ads/expo coverage/whatever slow everything down a lot but they don't seem to load as consistently in Chrome so Chrome is running much quicker.

I just looked at the special events section on the website and it says this:

Mickey's Halloween Party
Select Nights September to October 2017

Get ready to trick-or-treat at this frightfully fun event featuring spectacular fireworks, dancing and photo ops with some popular Disney Characters. Purchase of a separate event admission ticket is required to attend. General admission tickets go on sale July 24, 2017, while signed-in Annual Passholders can purchase special pre-sale tickets starting July 17, 2017.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned on here... I have been reading so much lately I am going cross eyed. But July 24th looks like our happy day to purchase...

I'm so glad I'm not the only one annoyed with it. I switched to Firefox because it generally runs a bit better for me than Explorer (I don't have Edge because I'm on Windows 8.1), but those things scrolling across the top of the page are making Firefox sluggish. So now I might have to switch to Chrome. :badpc:

Well, this is lunacy. If the tickets for AP/Disney Visa/Disney Vacation Club folks go on sale in THREE DAYS, it might be nice if we got the official announcement of what will be included in the party and in the Halloween Time season!!!

It looks like 3 of you posted the info from the DLR website at the exact same time! LOL

Lovely of the Parks Blog to let us know this important info.... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

opps lol

I know what is up with the release of info :earboy2: Don't they know we need to PLAN!!! We have family coming from Australia and I am buying all our tickets. I want this trip to be perfect and if they don't release the info ahhhhh.

That is one thing that I love about Disney World, I can plan everything so far out and keep changing my mind and re planning. Drives my hubby crazy but I love it haah

What is the process for purchasing the pre-sale tickets? I have a Disney Visa. If I'm understanding everything correctly that should allow me to purchase party tickets before the general public has access.

Is there a number to call or can they be purchased online?

I shouldn't be surprised, because every year the folks at DLR make people wait for info, and just when I think I have them nailed down to a reliable pattern of dates and announcements and all of that, they end up switching things up. I should know by now that these Parks Blog shenanigans will ensue every year. And yet, somehow I always hold out hope that they will start announcing things earlier in the year because there is such a demand for DLR info.

I am the sort -- much like you -- who needs time to be able to assess dates and change my mind, then change it again, etc. I like the flexibility that the earlier info gives me.

Tickets going on sale on Monday definitely supports my original thought that the extended call times for next week are for MHP ticket sales and questions (and MaxPass info too, I guess)!!

Yes -- with your Disney Visa you will be able to purchase tickets (discounted for certain nights) when they go on sale to AP holders and Disney Vacation Club folks. The only difference is that you will probably have to call in on the main ticket line (714-781-4400 or also try 714-781-7277) and order your tickets that way, whereas the AP holders can order online.

The Parks Blog might reveal some different way of doing it this year for Disney Visa folks, though, so we will see.

Thanks Sherry, I will keep my eyes and ears open :)

How odd...when I click the link I don't see the ticket sale dates. Could it be that only annual passholders can see that info?

I just checked -- both after logging in and without logging in to the DLR site -- and I didn't see the info either. Then again, those closure dates for Space Mountain are in such a specific, easy-to-miss place on the site that who knows where the Halloween ticket sale dates might be hiding? :rotfl:

I really want the booking info confirmed! Chase cardholders just lost early booking privileges this year for Disneyworld's food and wine festival as Chase pulled out of sponsoring it- Chase doesn't sponsor the Halloween party at Disneyland do they? The partnership is more for driving ticket sales out here?
