This is my first time booking a room on my own without my parents (first solo vacation), when you go and reserve your room, can you just reserve it, or do you have to make any kind of payment immediately? I know my dates, and I'm planning right now, I could make a payment of a few hundred dollars off the bat if I have to, but wouldn't be able to pay in full right away, the rooms I'm looking at (AoA Lion King or POR Royal Room) will probably book fast, if my trip is April 2017, how early should I worry about booking? TIA

When booking a room only reservation, you must pay the first night’s room rate as a deposit.
If you're booking a package (room+tickets), your deposit will be $200.
And you shouldn't have to be in any hurry to book. Book when you're ready at any time

Thanks!!! I am so excited, right now I have my rooms narrowed down to either POP Preferred, AoA LM, AoA Lion King, or POR Royal Room. All are within budget, it's just a matter of what I want more: a nicer resort, or a higher dining plan (I plan on doing mostly sit down / character meals, so...) , or what theming I end up deciding on, etc. I'm kind of freaking out, haha, it's finally starting to feel real!

Booking should be officially open at 7am Eastern. Pricing and dates are showing up for me. It's nice to see prices already so I know just how much of s dent I'm about to make in my bank account!

That doesn't mean I'm not refreshing my browser every 5 minutes in hopes it opens early!
