2016 Halloween parade: No Headless Horseman?

We saw the second parade on the 23rd and he was there

We were also there for the party on the 20th and posted up on Main Street outside the Emporium across from the Confectionary for the later parade. The CMs actually came along the street and spoke with everyone about needing to push back onto the curb before the horseman rides through. Next thing I know, Nick, Judy and the party crew were out on the street getting the crowd going and then the parade comes down from the hub. I was pretty disappointed not to see the horseman. Easily one of my favorite parts of the party.

I went to MNSSHP for the first time on 9/8 and was able to see him, and it was awesome! I watched the first parade. Weather was perfect that night.

We really got lucky with the weather that day. Around noon, they were calling for thunderstorms from around 4 through 9 pm, but it only rained for maybe 30 mins around 5 pm. So, losing the Headless Horseman is a small price to pay. It could have been much worse.
