Just realized fall 2016 prices have come out. Did they start out higher than 2015? The prices are already much higher than 2015 around the same time. Is it because of the renovations that are happening right before? Popularity? Was going to book on board in Dec 2015, but worried pricing will go up even more..

From what I have seen the 2016 prices for a number of cruises start where the highest tiers of 2015 ended. It seems to be that way on more of the unusual cruises and itineraries. I don't think the Dream or the standard Caribbean itineraries out of PC saw that kind of increase.

I was looking to book the Baltic on opening day and it was within a couple hundred of the 2015 cruise that still had rooms available. I passed because while I was prepared to pay 15% more on opening day, it was closer to 50% for my family vs 2015 day 1 pricing. 13K was just too much for a 7 night, IMO.

We are in TX and are booked for Galveston in 2015 and 2016 and I did notice that the starting price for 2016 was close to the ending price for 2015. I booked in late June last year and the categories had already gone up 2 or 3 times. No increases yet this year and my cruise isn't selling nearly as fast, either. Fortunately ours isn't a blackout and I reshopped it onboard last month when we were in Alaska. We didn't book onboard for our 2015 Galveston cruise and even so the pricing was far better than 2016 opening day.

You can check cruisefish.net to track the pricing of the cruises you are interested in vs 2015 pricing history. But short answer is that if you are on an unusual itinerary or near a holiday, this was way more than the standard increase that people complain about.

Ok, so it isn't just my imagination that the 2016 starting price is the same as 2015 ending price. Thanks. May book our 2016 now just in case prices rise.

We are sailing out of Galveston this December. Our cruise has seen at least 7 price increases. We had our TA price our same stateroom for a Galveston cruise in December 2016 and our price was over double our 2015 price. We like to cruise, but there is no possible way to justify that kind of increase.

We wanted to book one of the December 2016 Galveston sailings and decided no way once we saw the prices. I know the Wonder is being redone but I don't think many "normal" people know that . . . We are going to sail out of Miami on the Magic instead and be that much closer to the warm weather and get a stop at Castaway Cay. . . . We already have to fly from the PNW so it doesn't really matter to us.

Yes, I just noticed this yesterday since we live in Houston and have gone out twice on this port. We plan to go in 2015, but the 2016 prices were much higher. We may skip 2016

Hard to believe that we went out of Galveston in 2013 for around $2400 for a 6-night western and for about $2900 for a 7-night Bahamas for 2A2K in a 9C. I know it was different, because DCl had a ship there all year. But I still can't get over the 2015 and 2016 prices. We are definitely priced out of those.

I originally booked category 5A on the Wonder 12/16/16 7 night Western, but just changed to 5A on Fantasy 12/17/16 7 night Eastern $800 less for family of 3!
