I've noticed that many of the moderate resorts that were included in free dining last year are getting booked up during the week that I am looking. There seems to be plenty of availability at the moderates that weren't included in free dining. I'm holding out until the announcement, but I'd think that Disney would do something to discourage people that have already booked without the discount from getting in on the discount at a later time. I'm thinking that they should do something like a change fee like airlines do when you change a flight. Hopefully, Disney would also stop people from getting free dining on an existing reservation if their room type that they originally booked is completely sold out.

Hahaha!!! Thanks for the laugh!!! So. Much. Ludicrousness... For a first post. :rotfl:

WOWZA!! It's getting deep in here!! Let's keep the magic people! Keep the magic.....:teleport::teleport::teleport::teleport:

Honestly if the 2017 U.K fd promo comes over to U.S (in the future) it isn't all that bad especially if they allow us to book practically all year long with that promo, instead of maybe 7 weeks out of the year.

Unfortunately that will never happen for the U.S., unless Disney World gets moved to the UK. Hahah. They have to offer the UK extra incentive to travel so far.

It's sad but true. If anything they would probably change the dining and leave the dates hahaha that would be our luck

Disney could at least keep us on our toes and change up the resorts around that have previously been on the exclusion list. Maybe this year they could exclude Caribbean Beach, but include Port Orleans Riverside.

POR had a small inclusion last year.

Not to beat a dead horse buuuuut....

I didn't book in advance simply because I don't want to have to call to change it if the resort isn't included in FD. lol I don't want to deal with the hour(s) long wait on the phone. I have a list of 4 resorts that work for us and as long as I get one of them, I'll be happy.

We are going regardless of FD, just haven't decided if we will purchase the dining plan or not if we don't get FD. We can't afford to fly and pay for dining and it's a 15 hour drive. :drive:

So even though we are going regardless, FD is a HUGE factor for our trip.

We are also doing this debt free. I got the DV for the early release but I might as well charge it and pay it off just to get the rewards points. :yay:

I think Disney has done quite a bit of "keeping us on our toes", especially in the last few days with all the announcements. So, if we're making "Disney Wishlists" now... I'd like it if there were no exclusions (or blackout dates) for Free Dining. To mimic Oprah... Free Dining for you! Free Dining for you! Free Dining for Everyone!!! :P Yes, that is my wish. pixiedust:

Hi all, im a newbie in here, been reading you for long tho. I live in the UK tho considering visiting Disney this fall. Cant find the cancellation policy, only this one , http://www.mousesavers.com/walt-dis...-room-only-reservations-vs-vacation-packages/, are you aware of any cancellation fees if booked the FD package and then needing to cancel my trip? Worried I might run out of hotels if i leave it til late June when I was thinking about booking it . I am planning on early Sept.

The hotel Im thinking about is POP as is the one giving me best options. however, any other value that would be considered for the offer woud be good as well, are they normally the ones running filling first?

Thanks all.

We are going in four months and checked dining reservations last night and surprisingly there are a lot still available even for when we are going.
For some places, yes. BOG no way. Plus, August and early September are a lot better than late September on to find ADRs.

Ok, this is a stupid question... How do you get the free dining online before the phone lines open at 7am? Is there a code somewhere? Pardon my ignorance! :)
You will have to either modify your existing reservation, or go through the special offers link toward the bottom of the home page. When it goes live it will appear u dear special offers when you click on it:thumbsup2
