2016 Free Dining Watch

My dates CBR is still showing both standard and preferred rooms, but that $60 jump per night to preferred is starting to gnaw at me. But then I think about my granny legs lol. But, for $420 they might have more motivation to walk more limited o.

Are you going to be walking to the food court/main pool area often? Will they be using wheelchairs? Each village has its own bus stop so you're never far from transportation. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to preferred this past September but from walking around the resort, it wasnt bad to us at all. I don't know how I'd feel if I were older though lol! They also have an internal bus that takes each village to Old Port Royale.

Ok so last year I was one of the people trying to get through and waiting on hold for hours until someone on Facebook gave me a back door number that got me through to a person incredibly fast and was able to book our room.

My question is, does anyone have a magic number to get a person? I can't find my notes from last year.

My grandmunchkins LOVE the refillable mugs and like to get hot cocoa early, then often get tea before we go to the parks. It's nice to know there's an internal bus though, so thank you. I'm not sure about scooters. I'd like to avoid them if possible. You've given me some great information. Thank you!

AHH so honestly if it goes DV first we wont know til then...right..? Because from what I have gathered they might/might not get notification.

That is my understanding as well. The notification from DV via email or on their site doesn't usually happen until after the FD has already opened up.

You're very welcome! I hope you can get it all worked out. It's a beautiful resort and I loved every minute of being there. I would so go back again in a heartbeat this year but it's a $555 difference between that and Sports and I just can't do that this year. Totally worth it though

Finally I just left it a while back... by some miracle it happens to be in a CBR standard room during the rumored dates. If all the stars align can I just add free dining without changing the reservation? Prices have gone up since I booked.

Nope. You'll have to pay the difference in the upped ticket and dining prices if any changes are made to it.

If you switch to Free dining you will lose any other discount you may have already booked. Your room rate will be the non discounted rack room rate.

Oh that extra bed will definitely be nice. And let me tell you, those beds are clouds! Seriously, the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. I have searched and searched every store to find that bed and I can't find it anywhere lol. You will definitely love them. And I do love the All Stars! They're super fun, my son will love it and they're clean. That's all I'm asking for this trip

I will love it I'm sure!!! I know with DVC you could ask the type of beds/bedding they used and get information on the products. Maybe you can try calling the resort directly and ask!! A good bed is something I'm looking for also!!

Although we have been to WDW many times, we are newbs with the dining plan (let alone free dining!). Thank you to everyone who has been so helpful! This quote comes to mind:
