I didn't know that was available. How do you do it (add FD that is)? Thanks!

In mde. Reservation. Then right around where u can make a payment. It should say change reservation. Or maybe update. U can add there. I asked same question will the system acknowledge its free dining or just dinning. He said it will even say free dining. We shall see

This may be a question for you or someone else:

Did "Change Reservation" or "Update" take the place of the "Modify" button from last year? Or are there still reservations that have a "Modify" button? And what would be the difference between "Change" and "Modify", if any?

True. So true. People are on hold for HOURS sometimes.
Unfortunately I would never make it long if I woke up at 4:30 every day from now until release. With my luck it would be 2
Months from now!! I am NOT a morning person! I hope we hear more clues as it gets closer...
You will. We knew it was going to be that day, that's why I pulled an all nighter. I hear too many people the year before say they we on hold for hours and got disconnected and all sorts of 4-5 hour holds. I figured it's worth staying up all night to avoid that. But I knew it was that day, I would never had done it everyday until it hit. You will know when if you stay tuned here:thumbsup2

If I have to call I'm taking every cell phone in the house to call with. It's going to be a pain, but worth it.

Has anyone compared your costs from last year to this year? Ouch! If I were to get the same thing as last year, making sure to have the same number of weekdays vs weekends, same dining plan, same ages of kids, same resort, same tickets, it would be just under $400 more than last year. Yikes!

Haha! In 2013, I was on the house phone and DH was on the cell and I went with whichever got a CM first! It took about an hour. In 2015, I did mine around 5am online when I realized it was posted early! I had set my alarm with enough time I thought to come to myself before it all started. Went ahead and logged on to check for fun and it was already up! I freaked. It was smooth though as not many knew it was already live.

There I was browsing the wonderful WWW on possible free dining dates when I stumble upon this link. I wanted to open it as "cache" but I can't seem to do it on my iPhone. Could it be a possible offer? (See picture)

Me too! In 2014 I called at 7am before it was even posted! Last year my heart was racing when I booked at 6am before all the craziness! Hoping we all get our FD this year too!

I feel the anxiety level building. Lots of posts over the last few days.

If I could, let me give you a little advice as we get closer to a possible promotion announcement. BREATHE

Some of us have been through this many times. Lots of us look forward to this time every year with excitement, knowing our trip planning officially starts when our reservation is secured.

Rest assured, rumors will start. Things will be posted in this thread over the next few weeks that will make you doubt that a promotion will actually drop or that the reservation you want will not be available because of something someone says. PANIC will start to set in and that doesn't help anyone.

So, RELAX. There are no credible rumors out there. Some of us are here to help and will be glad to answer questions as you have them.

Likelyhood of a promo drop tomorrow.....very close to 0%!

For those who booked early in the morning, did you just check and it was there?

Last year, we received lots of helpful tips from posters such as The Dirty Steve and others (thank you!) so we had a pretty good indicator for when it would be released. I live on the West Coast so I set my alarm for 3 AM and 4 AM. But I also stayed up until midnight watching. I actually woke up on my own at 2:00-ish and decided to check. When I did the offer was there. I was able to book 4 standard rooms at POP (using my account and my parents account) online with no issues. It was just what we wanted!! I could not go back to sleep after that because I was so excited. I spent the rest of the night and day celebrating with others on the Dis and my family who were so happy to have a crazy person to book their trip in the middle of the night.

I have to agree about staying calm and not panicking. There were several times that I was positive that FD was not going to be offered or that they were going to cut it off for people going in December so that it was not for their full length of stay. I was looking at other options due to some of the rumors. But in the end, it all worked out and we had a wonderful trip! Dreams can come true!

This may not be the right place to ask this, but can someone explain to me the concept behind the PIN's that some people get. I know they're hard to come by and they seem to be a pretty big deal so I'm wondering is there a place that I have to go to sign up to receive offers like this? Any help is much appreciated!!

Pin codes are random. People say the more things u sign up for or look at trip prices or even order planning dvd gives u a better chance. We had one two years ago. I booked CbR with free dining which was reg offer. Then found out my mother wanted to go. So had to rebook at POR. Was told on phone that POR was not included in free dining. CM said I had a pin code which will work. Didn't know I had one. And didn't know if she just gave to me. It was awesome

As far as anyone knows there really is nothing special one can do to get a PIN code. We personally have never received one, which is equally disappointing and frustrating. The best advice I have seen is to sign up for all things Disney, such as the Disney Store, etc. This would provide them a way to send you one either via email or regular mail. You also can always call Disney to see if you have one. Good luck!
