We are trying to finalize plans and may stay off property it FD isn't offered or a good deal for us. I'm ready to book! We are planning Labor Day week.

Yup. Thought so too. Even said. If not able to switch start day right away. She could fill some electronic request transfer and have answer in 24 hours. But said shouldn't have to do that. I just want free dining. Makes a huge difference in vacation quality. Glad I booked a while back cause does t look like any standard rooms left at cbr
That is interesting! I called last week (wanting CBR 8/27-9/1) and the CM told me I'm "staying during the right time" I asked her if she knew something I didn't know but she just laughed! She just said that current offer ends 8/25 the next one would start 8/26. Just hoping I can get my Disney fix before DS starts kindergarten in September!

Well that is a little disheartening. I am starting to think they will do what they did in the spring and offer one free QS meal a day. I hope I'm wrong

If there are no standard rooms left now the possibility of it being included in a free dining promo are almost zero.

I don't believe having a room booked already guarantees anything with the FD promo. I learned that two years ago. I was on the phone the morning it was live and by the time I got through FD was gone at the resort I already had a room booked (CSR). I had to switch over to CBR to take advantage of FD. If your dates aren't flexible or aren't willing to switch resorts I understand already having a reservation booked for ADR's and piece of mind. Since my group is flexible I see the advantage for all involved to just wait it out. :)

True. Just hope they don't sell out of rooms. Plus now u can add free dining on the app. Save time. Plus if there are rooms available. U can always cancel current room and book new one same as you would if u waited for free dining to come out. Just gives piece of mind

Last year I booked fd online at 6am. I wanted a StandArd room at CBR but had to book a water view for about $100 more. The next day after all the craziness died down I looked again and saw a standard room was available. I was able to modify and save the $$ even after you book always keep checking!

I made an entire reservation in 5min. I'm a weirdo and never book a trip without a discount because I know they'll always offer something whether it's FD or a room discount!! What I do is price out a few options ahead of time and then see what's available to book. Last year I got CBR no problem and the year before I got all star sports with no issue either.
