We booked our FD bb in late August. The bb was switched over to a room only discount at the beginning of November.

I haven't had time to read through the entire thread. Are there rumors yet as to the dates that may be included in FD for the fall (if there is FD), and when FD may possibly be announced if offered?

No rumors of actual dates that it will be offered. There was a guess floated by Disney Dad in his blog that it might be released April 25th, from the sound of it that was based more on history and not on inside information.

Thanks! I know it's just speculation but it brings great excitement to us just to have an insider 'suggesting' that it might be possible

Another question: based on last years blackout dates of 10/3-10/24 and again 11/1-11/7, if we were to check-in on 10/29 for 8 days, would we have received FD for the duration of our trip or would we only have FD on the 29th-31st of October?

And one last question (for now): when does Disney start putting up decorations for Christmas? In years prior we have always been there during Halloween and typically depart the 30th or 31st, but this year our kids' schedules may allow us more flexibility to span the last part of October and the first part of November. Just wondering if we would likely see some of the Christmas decor during the first few days of November.

As long as your check in date falls in the dates offered, you'll get it your whole trip (up to 14 nights).

Not sure about when Christmas decorations go up. I know very soon after the last MNSSHP party since their first MVMCP is starting 11/7.

Figures, the one time I'm out of DVC points *and* want to book deluxe and I can't. Hoping after 180+10 is past and FD (or lack there of) is announced, I can get the rooms I really want....

I haven't even started looking at room availability but now I am worried. We do have flexible dates to some extent and we don't have plans for DVC or Deluxe (in our dreams), but it sounds like rooms are already selling out? Guess we better start looking to see if there is anything available at all in the Mods or Values during our possible time-frames. If not, then FD is no longer a concern but the resort availability is....Oy!

Last year I checked into the BC on Aug. 16. The brochure for bb was the room discount, but I knew that FD was also available to be booked because I had read (somewhere on the dis) that others had booked the FD bb as early as late, late July. I called to doublecheck that, and yes FD was available. The room discount was also available to book. I didn't book it at that point because I was unsure of my dates and resort.

When I checked into Pop on Aug. 20, the new brochure listed FD as the bb. But I remember reading that some people didn't know that FD was available because they were still receiving the old brochure. So always call 8844 from your room to check and see what the bb is no matter what the brochure says.

As for November, I know people say it was available to be booked up until Oct. 31st. But I've never seen an actual expiry date on the bb stating you must book by this particular date. I would imagine if you checked in sometime early November and received the brochure, they may honour it if you called. I think it depends on the person you speak with.

Kicking myself for not doing the bounce back but DS starts kindergarten this year so I wanted to make sure he didn't miss any time (darn school getting in the way of my Disney planning! Fingers crossed for you! We're also kicking ourselves for not booking BB last fall. I'm definitely going to be doing it this year though
