Yes! Sorry, I'm at work and have a hard time quoting on my phone! Will I have to change rooms or can I stay in the same room at the same hotel?
my family has the same dates, you would need to book a RO for 11/12-11/14 and then FD for 11/15-19. hopefully you can stay in the same room, I think they try to make that happen.
you can pick up your tix from FD on the 12th, but you will not be able to make FP+ for the 12-14th until you go to Guest Relations and activate them when you arrive. so FP+ 60 days in advance will only be possible for the days from the 15th on. I researched this last weekend for my trip.

Check-in date is what matters, so if you keep you Nov 12 date, you will not get free dining. If you want it for the end of your stay, you do a split stay with the tickets attached to the second stay that will have free dining for those dates. You can access those tickets when you arrive for the first part of the stay, HOWEVER, you will NOT be able to do FP+ for those days until you check in and pick up your tickets.

You may have to change rooms; it just depends on what is available where you are staying.

You will need to modify either way, so (personally I would) keep what you have and allow a CM to switch your resort. There is no guarantee you will get exactly what you currently have.

Btw - FD is known to go LIVE very early in the wee hours online. So in that case, and, again, if it were me, I would forget modifying and pony up the extra $200 for a new reservation, then cancel the old one.

I usually have my TA do all of that for me. I assume she will know what she's doing. I'll have to call her tomorrow and make sure we can get this set up. Might try mY luck at a deluxe the first or last leg of my stay.

What about Movies?

Yes we would. I am leaning towards the Boardwalk myself for this reason and several others. It will be my husband that takes convincing. He LOVES free dining like no one I've ever seen before! And while I don't necessarily don't want to cook or clean anything up while on vacation, it wouldn't kill us to have a couple of frozen pizzas, a pasta night, sandwiches, whatever, and budget for what meals we do want to eat in-park. It will definitely be more cost effective for us too.
I agree. My brother would only do Boardwalk if he couldn't get free dining, but then the only other place he would want to stay is the boardwalk because you do get a full kitchen and can get food in. Plus your just a boat ride away from Epcot and HS.

Hmmm...if it's the same offer I'm thinking it is...I may have to look into it...:scratchin

Can you share what offer you are thinking it is? Those are our dates as well and since FD is out we need to come up with an alternative option that will hopefully save us some $$$$. If you can't post it here, can you PM me? :)

Yup, it was a great offer- so great it convinced me to move back to the heat and humidity of September.:rotfl:Plus, i figured staying at poly, I can just take swim breaks.

:worship: Thank you! Here's to hoping POR isn't excluded as much as last year. I would like another option besides CBR.

I kind of figured that as they've excluded it before. We are going to try for CBR this year..... if not it will be back to CSR which we LOVE!
Hi - we were just at CBR in march and loved it - right now I'm booked for CSR for fall - could you tell me why you liked it I wanted to try something new but questioning it a little bit - thanks

Woo Hoo! Thanks for the scoop black! I'm thinking Disney is getting sick and tired of me calling everytime
Welcome to the madhouse. Were all crazy here. So what Hotel are you hoping for?:welcome:
we plan on going 8/27-9/1 so I'm thinking POR because it shouldn't be blocked out then. If it is the next choice is CBR standard or waterview, then WL standard, then POP anything with an upgraded DP, then basically any place that will give me free food those days! I'm not there for the room!

Wouldn't you just "MODIFY" your old reservation and use the original deposit?

She could. But she'd have to wait until the phone lines open to do so (if there's no modify button online in MDE).

My point is - if FD goes live at 4 am, she risks the chance of hundreds of people snapping up the best inventory online because there was no way to properly "modify"...

@black562 I don't think we tell you enough how much you are appreciated. Please don't ever forget that!:love1:
