Thank you! So sorry to ask a question that I think I already know the answer to...but DVC is always excluded from free dining, correct? My family usually stays at Pop during free dining but this year we have an opportunity to book a 1 bedroom villa at the Boardwalk using a friend's points that she is not using herself (we will be paying her but she is offering us a very generous price). There is no chance that we would be able to apply free dining to our trip, correct? We may actually think about going back to Pop for the free dining if this is the case...the free food for our family may be of more benefit to us than the extra space etc. Thanks in advance!
I had this exact chance, but rooms were not available in the time we wanted to go....plus you can not do FD with the DVC. You can add the Dining Plan if you want. We are hoping to do Pop as it's our favorite.

correct, rooms booked on DVC points do not qualify for FD.

We are going to stick with AOA and pay the difference or maybe even see what room discount they will release. Heres to not sleeping on sunday lol. Thank god for Netflix

We are AofA too. There are 5 of us.....so I feel like it will be the most comfortable. We'll upgrade to TS, but it's still a nice savings to the trip.

soooo, what time does the WDW website update usually with offers the morning they are released?

But wouldn't you also have a kitchen that you can make meals?

So I will have to pay for Dining Plan for three days and not for the other four?
If your check-in day is included on the list, no, you will get FD the entire stay. If your check-in is BEFORE, you will do a split stay and get FD only the days on the SECOND part of your trip. Is that what you are asking?

Do you think this is legit enough that I should go ahead and switch from POFQ to CSR before Monday?

Interested in anyone's opinion here . . . Currently booked at POFQ which is rumored to be excluded from free dining promotion. I'm thinking maybe I should go ahead and switch resort to CSR now. What do you all think? Would be one less thing to go through on Monday . . .

French Quarter is always excluded from the general public free dining offer. But there is no reason to switch resorts until the free dining offer is released. You can't book a free dining room unless there is availability, anyway. So switching now doesn't help at all.

You still have to call or go online to get free dining on Monday whether you switch now or wait until free dining is released. It won't be automatically applied to an existing reservation.

Yes! Sorry, I'm at work and have a hard time quoting on my phone! Will I have to change rooms or can I stay in the same room at the same hotel?

Yes we would. I am leaning towards the Boardwalk myself for this reason and several others. It will be my husband that takes convincing. He LOVES free dining like no one I've ever seen before! And while I don't necessarily don't want to cook or clean anything up while on vacation, it wouldn't kill us to have a couple of frozen pizzas, a pasta night, sandwiches, whatever, and budget for what meals we do want to eat in-park. It will definitely be more cost effective for us too.

Oh, I know . . . I just thought it might simplify things if we were already booked at a resort that wasn't excluded. Also thought it might make a difference in whether I can do this online Monday morning versus calling in.

Wait to book it's just easier than changing to so something that may or may not be included.
