From what I can tell there are 2 benefits for DV cardholders that use the link.

1. An additional week of availability in August(maybe more, I didn't compare ALL of the dates)

2.increased inventory.
Example: For the dates I checked in December there are no standard rooms left to GP in CSR. However there are still rooms left for DV cardholders.

I agree this might not be as good as early release to DV, but it could be a big deal to anyone still trying to book.

A big thanks to all the night owls for keeping me company last night! Got my trip booked at 4:10am and it took about 5 minutes start to finish.

I was finally able to update my reservation only for the room only discount. It was very strange, first it didn't go through, then it seemed to go through but I got the Stitch page, then I checked my email and I got the confirmation of the RO discount updated reservation info... Oh well, at least it worked... Disney seems to have the worst IT for the size of company they are. I guess it works most days, but definitely seems flaky most times I try it, like my ADR day and adding this offer.

I've been on hold for an hour and 39 minutes now. Called in around 7:15. Wanting free dining for AoA Sept 11-18. Does anyone know if they'll let you upgrade base tickets to park hoppers to get free dining?
My hubby called the other number referenced just now and he says it's a 90min+ wait.
So looks like we're in it for the long haul.

Thanks for the encouragement! Any insight on what that percentage was then? I am glad we decided on when to go, just bummed sitting here without anything booked . I am so impatient with all this excitement! lol

We were part of a January 2016 WDW group on Facebook. We had the Stay, Play and Dine. We had a couple people join our group who moved over from the Fall free dining and seriously thought they had free dining with the Stay Play Dine! It was the exact same price. What most people dont realize is that the hotel prices are inflated during the free dining. Book in January. It's a slower time and you can get your ADRs easier and pay the same!!

oMg thank you, called and got a person, NO waiting!!!

But no free dining during my stay And I already have flights booked and 2 rooms booked and family going with us, one of which is traveling from another city. I didn't want to chance making it harder on someone getting to go if I changed dates so I didn't even try.

Your's was LESS switching from Standard to Pool?

The difference with the free dining and pool from paying for dining and standard was only $300. I would've thought I'd see a bigger difference but it was not as big because I had to upgrade to pool/lagoon

Finally got through and there is NO moderate availability at all for Sept 22-Oct 1st if anyone else has those dates and are on hold trying to get through. 4 people in the room.

Pretty bummed. I was on at 4:30 and couldn't find anything. Have been checking online and trying to call. I guess I will just pray that the next few days will be full of people getting rid of rooms and Disney adding new availability. We are going no matter what. It would have just been nice to get the free dining.

Keep hope alive. I'm surprised you couldn't find anything at 4:30. I was on DW site at 4:10 and there was plenty of options
(for my dates anyway). I think POP was the first to sell out.

Off topic but.....
We already have POFQ booked for 10-22 to 10-29. Garden view room with dining and park hopper. I have been trying to call to see if we get the RO discount, what are our chances?

Dining reservations are only linked to your room on MDE----you can cancel your room and still have your dining reservations.

I also was noticing a separate inventory of rooms on some searches. IF that truly is the case then I agree - it's a good deal for the Visa folks. Basically you can see if they have your room type available in either the public or Visa deal AND the fact that you can actually look online for the Visa deal is a huge improvement.
