I'm still confused why they emailed this to us today at the same time as the general public is released. What is the benefit of having a Disney Visa anymore if we can't book earlier than the public?

i hear you. I always laugh at everyone packing a month out, saying I have tons of time. Then this past year waited too long and was running around crazy trying to get it done. (I still think a month is overkill though)
just curious, how long is the wait times on the phone and do you have to put a $200 down deposit when booking or do you have 7 days like years past?
I called the number several other people have been referencing 407-939-4357 and once I finally got through to the automation, I accidentally said dining instead of resort (habit, I guess), and got right through. She pushed me over to resort reservations and got right through as well. It all went as we said. August 23 was the date, just like we said it would be. I kinda feel sorry for folks in the other board that got misinformation.
I was just searching and found that it is now 3 days to pay the deposit, last year was 7 days and years before that it was 14. I was asking for a friend who I'm trying to convince that booking now for FD crucial.The $200 deposit is required at the time of booking.
Remember those leaked dates were from Air Canada's website and indeed on the Canadian Disney website free dining is available starting August 14th.
I just tried to change my POP reservation to the ro discount and it says there is nothing available for any room type.There was nothing at Pop for our dates of 9/30 to 10/6.
Noted the same thing but was then happy because I realized I wouldn't have to call to upgrade it.Something weird is going on... I booked my sister's vacation. 2 adults, 5yo, 2yo. Her total $2413.
I try booking same exact everything for me 1 adult, 12yo, 7yo. My price comes to $2756.
Should be same price right...
We both have 2 adults and 1 child basically. What?!!
UPDATE: Just figured it out. It was automatically upping me to the next dining plan level. But it didn't do that for my sister. Phew. Thought Disney was losing it!
FYI... Everyone check your dining plan if you're at a value before checking out.
There was never (as in I was up at 4 am trying) any availability (RO October) for the PO resorts for my dates (at least not for the offer...there's standard rate availability)...so I saw someone here say they kept calling and when they got through the CM was able to book them into something they couldn't see online...so I'm like - okay I'll call and see if I can do the same thing...except every time I call (and I've tried 3 different numbers)...I either get static, a high buzzing sound, or "your call cannot be completed as dialed"![]()
Wow! You got a good one! I had one helping me for just in case and I emailed her last night telling her I heard it was dropping over night and she got wicked cranky and told me to be patient. Needless to say she didn't get me the resort I wanted or the quote for all star sports. Sometimes gotta do things yourself!Whoa! My TA knew I was interested in FD when I booked in Feb, and without me asking got up this morning and booked a reservation with FD for me to consider?!?!?! How is that for service!!!!! The deal I got with them still seems better overall.
Essentially for about $80 more I could switch from standard room at POFQ with dining added on to a Royal Guest Garden View room at Riverside with FD.
We love POFQ too much, so doubt it's worth the room upgrade for us at the sister resort.
