The dates in this post contradict each other.
Ha! Less chance of being wrong that way.

I'm not sure which part amuses me more....the fact that he claims it is 100% confirmed, or the fact that he got part of the dates incorrect.
You can't have any discounts when doing free dining. You'll have to pay rack rate (full price) for your room and at least 2 day park (it may be 3 days this year?) hoppers bought at full price through Disney. So you'll have to choose. I agree-you most likely would end up way better using the military discount! Is there anyone here who has gotten the free dining plan that is military? We have two rooms(and will be adding a third) traveling with my dad, who is retired Army and brother, who is a Navy vet. I told them when I made the reservations that I was watching for free dining, and they said when/if it comes out, just call back and they can see about adding it to our rooms.
My question is this...Do you pretty much lose the military priced tickets? The leak I read says you have to buy park hopper tickets and you can't have a discounted room, which I do have now. So, if anyone who is military that's ever done free dining could give me some tips or idea of what happens, i'd much appreciate it. We have gone with the discount before but not with free dining. It may end up costing less to do it without dining.![]()
Maybe Disney will have a change of heart and let us all have 8/14--->
This board has been chatting about it for quite a while now.
Might I add that you guys are a great group of people. I left the other boards because of excessively rude behavior...but I'm not seeing that over here.
Well.... actually, do we know those dates are incorrect? Until the deal is actually dropped, isn't everything just one big rumor and a bunch of crazy speculating? Just sayin'....
They're a bit late to the party over in that board aren't they?
I 100% understand. My husband just got out of the military a few months ago. So we didn't use free dining for a long time either and I missed it. But now I miss that military discount though! We got some good use out of that for years. Thanks, KT. I was just discussing it with my mom. I think you are right, and I had a feeling we'd lose any discounts we had.
We're staying in ASM, so it would be QS only, and we would for sure want some sit down meals; leaving us having to upgrade to make it worthwhile.I sure miss free dining-we haven't done it in a long time, but boy I love it...I don't have to worry about food and budgeting while i'm there. Oh, well...

Maybe Disney will see the light and open 8/14-22 to everyone....we could hope. All the data I've seen specifically said they were "agency only dates" for South America and Canada. But....as you said, and as I've said....things change on a dime.
I just don't like anyone coming in and saying it's 100% confirmed...only Disney can make that claim.

If it turns out he is wrong, some people planning on the earlier dates are going to be disappointed.![]()

Which is why I always tell people to run away when someone claims anything is "100% confirmed".
You're welcome!Thanks for the reassurance!
