Question...are visa card holders supposed to get a jump start on FD and if so can you do it online or do you have to wait on the phones to go live at 7am?

If there were an early DV release you would have to call. According to black562 yesterday it looks like it is skipping over the DV again and going right to the GP. A few pages back on this thread somebody suggested that there may be dates available to DV holders that aren't available to the GP.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any info. I am looking at arriving on September 30th and staying until October 9th. Will this still qualify? Or does the entire duration have to be within the free dining dates?

thanks in advance!!!
No, only your arrival date, we had this a feq years ago. As long as you arrive on a FD date, you arw good for your length of stay up to 14 days i beleive

I think the general consensus is that the DV cardholders will not get an early window on the promo this year (but that is not confirmed). IF the DV offer IS out first, then it has to be done via phone only. Starting at 7am

RE_ POR and Free dining--If i am going to need to go in and modify anyhow to get free dining- is there any benefit to me switching to another resort now that most likely will have free dining and then Monday switching to free dining?

Only your arrival date has to be within the advertised dates. If it is, then you qualify for FD your entire trip

In everyone's opinion, what's the best Disney hotel for 2 adults, 2 teens and a tween. Everyone needs their own space, but could share a bed.

POR and CBR have 5 rooms that sleep 5, but the 5th is a pull down murphy bed, so it might be tight with all 5 being full grown. But those are cheaper than the value suites

Sheesh y'all were busy! 18 pages since I went to sleep last night.

I'm gonna play around today and make sure I've got a first choice, second choice, third choice. We are also a family of 5 and the choices stink!

Does anyone else think the October 1 date is weird? That's a Saturday and all precious years that October has been blacked out the FD dates ended on the Friday before the first weekend in October. We were planning on driving down after work and checking in LATE on 9/30 to get FD but if we can avoid that and stay somewhere half way the night before that would be GREAT.
You should be fine checking in on October 1 that's included in the freed dining. I think the Oct date is the least weird date in the bunch so I wouldn't worry about it.

Even if I add in food expense, it was only $500 more to stay at poly than CBR with Free dining. That's with a TS, CS and snacks every day. That's factoring in the park hoppers I would have been forced to buy and The fact that 2 days we will be at universal so don't need the free food. Also figured on preferred room at CBR. But still, only $500. Way worth it.

It's a great deal and it's worth it to you. :thumbsup2

I was just responding to your comment to another poster when you said a moderate with free dining can't beat the deluxe room only deal price wise.

sooooo......while we are waiting.....whats everyones plan...up all night? or multiple alarms and try to sleep in between? im just curious

I'd be curious too... I have to work Monday, so I do need some sleep. I may take a nap after church! Then stay up till 1am, wake up again at 4, 5, 6 and then I'll be up. And pray that it actually drops and I don't do that for no reason :/

This will be our 3rd visit. DD15 absolutely loves Colonial American history!! I planned extensively for those two visits .... because we were CW newbies and also "in-between" wdw trips. So the fact that I pretty much have my bearings in the Revolutionary City and surrounding areas and that we will have almost 4 full days there (so will not be rushed), is causing me to be lax about putting much time into further planning. We loved our previous 2 visits (both in 2015) and are happy to see they've added new offerings. So it will be a great trip, I'm sure. Oh and it looks like our weather will be good too!

ETA- we like to call Colonial Willliamsburg, "Liberty Square on Steroids"- haha

LOL! We live in the Williamsburg area and love how when we are at Disney Liberty Square feels like home!

Thats my biggest fear....up all night then nothing!!!!

Good question. :)

I'll try to sleep in tomorrow morning. Tomorrow night, I'm going to stay up til after midnight and check. Then I'll go to bed and set my alarm for 4:30am. and get ready for work as I constantly refresh.

Air canada vacations has already posted that packages with free dining will be available to book monday, also black posted in the other thread same as south america, should be everyone then.

Can anyone still see the Air Canada offers? I wanted to see how the deal compared with booking directly with Disney, but as far as I can tell, the AC offers have disappeared. Maybe the Mouse didn't like the sneak peak...! I can't believe that for my last two trips (neophyte that I am), I somehow managed to casually book free dining offers without any preplanning, drama or stress. I had no idea how fortunate I had been! Now I'm sharing in the stress/excitement/anticipation with the lot of you (which really, is all part of the journey, isn't it?) <3

I was thinking the same thing! LOL

I plan to do nothing after church. I'm going to use it as my excuse all day tomorrow. I'm telling everyone to pitch in because I plan to be up all night.

Does anyone know if admission to Disneyquest is still included in the "Water Parks and More" ticket? It no longer mentions it on their site. I can find the price to purchase them separately, but $43 is too steep for something like that.
