2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

When the announcements for all the discounts came out the only notice I received was from Kpirate and that was the day of. I was tapping on my computer to secure WL and on the phone as well but to no avail. After wards I checked spam - empty. It's not going in there it's just not being sent. Week or two later DH and I were on our way to Karmanos in Detroit, I went to Disney's website via cell and boom RO discount availability for WL showed up. I couldn't load it up via MDE account - for what ever reason so I called and got it. Whew! Very pleased.

I don't think any of us can rely on the Disney Visa emails -- inconsistent. May I suggest that the best place to check is the Disney Resorts forum; sub-forum "Disney Discount Codes and Rates". There will always be posts about an upcoming or current discount (Disney Visa, AP, FL Resident, Bounce Back, Pin Codes.........) It is absolutely the most reliable place to get resort room discount information! :goodvibes

I just looked at the Disney Food Blog and they have Duff Goldman listed under "What's Cooking with..." on Friday, October 28th.
I see their schedule but he's not listed on the WDW schedule. So either he's a late addition and WDW hasn't updated theirs or he recently dropped out and DFB hasn't updated theirs. Arggg

Has anybody seen which event Morimoto will be attending? I don't see him listed for any events, but he is on the list of celebrity chefs.

Well the only thing left is the mix it, make it....I would pay $50 to get a sushi lesson from him. Although they do have that PFTS that's featuring disney springs chefs so maybe he's making an appearance there?

Still waiting on info regarding the premium package, I hope they don't wait till the night before to disclose what it will include or if its even coming back this year.

Agreed...we are starting to worry its not going to be offered this year which is REALLY unfortunate. We loved the food runners!

On one hand if its not offered we'll have an extra $400 to do some other event/tour but we were really looking forward to it, we're doing an 11 night stay and the middle mon-thursday we had earmarked for epcot based around this package, fingers crossed.

Ok so the Disney food blog says "Cardholders can book select special events, demos, and seminars on July 19th as well. A limited number of seats are available for the booking date."
Exactly what special events they are talking about ?

The PFTS is my guess. I'm hoping that Art Smith, Rick Bayless and Tony Mantuano (Portobello) will also appear. I'm not going to hold my breath for Wolfgang Puck but that would be pretty cool!!

Last year, you could book the culinary demos, beverage seminars, and mixology sessions. Some of the other events, like the food and wine pairings in Italy and France, had limited availability. You could book PFTS but only general admission. If you wanted a reserved table or the wine view lounge, you had to call back with everyone else. Who knows what you'll be able to book this year!?!?

I find the 9:00 am start time on 7/19 questionable as reservations generally start at 7:00 am. If I were calling in the 19th, I don't think I'd wait until 9:00 am.

I am searching for Disney Visa F&W - is there a separate thread for this or will the info be listed here?

We've been card holders for a few years now and I have yet to get receive emails and whatever for their special offers. I can honestly say I have never come across anything regarding Epcot F&W nor did I receive the summer/fall discount. Not sure what's going on with that but I have read others not receiving info as well.

Hopefully someone will post information on F&W for Disney Visa on this thread. If I see anything, I'll be sure to post it. Seems like last year, the F&W special events for Disney Visa were posted either the day before or on the day that reservations started. I usually receive the Disney Visa e-mails but its usually days after the offer comes out. I usually see it here on the Dis first.

Why do I feel like we took one step toward....release of dates, times, prices, etc a week early! But took 2 steps back with the unknowns dates on when to actually book, what you can book and what time you can start calling? Anyways, I just noticed Paul Walburgers name. What could be be doing? Burger bash?

That is a good point. the 9:00 call in time did seem strange.

Same here! We scheduled this trip to make sure we were there for a complete Mon - Thurs! Was so looking forward to trying this.
