2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

This was posted earlier in the thread but I couldn't find it as quickly as going to the original source and re-posting. From easywdw:

THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this again!

I did a spreadsheet and of all the food booths and cost of each item then highlighted what was the best value with the sampler. Sometimes you can balance it out with the 6 dollar items if you also get 10 dollar items . if anyone wants a copy of the spread sheet pm me.

I usually wouldn't do a spreadsheet but I had one job today and that was wait for 1 phone call and I could't do anything else so that is how I killed the time.
Sounds like the sort of thing I'd do with my downtime

How do I pm you for the spread sheet?

We just got back and had a blast for our first time ever! Some of my opinions

Filet & cheddar cheese soup In Canada... They were good but I think a bit overhyped? And a tad bit over cooked on the steak

Escargot croissant... Got it to say I tried it, and scarfed the whole thing.

Beouf Borg - my hubby's #1 item we tried. It was a tiny bit too salty for
Me

Slushy daiquiri ice pop was a total hot mess fail. It was tasty but just a sticky horrible sloppy mess. Really not good execution. The last thing I needed while covered in sweat was sticky fingers to accidentally wipe in my hair/face.

Brazil cheese bread and pork belly dishes were amazing! Totally shocked, might have been the best thing I ate

Duck Bao bun was yummy, potstickers standard

Korean BBQ disappointed me :( but, I used to live there and this just didn't taste right to me. Too salty, the pickles were just, vinegary cucumbers. Not much brine to them... I was sad. Was hoping for the sweet and spicy deliciousness that is authentic Korean BBQ.

Piggy wings & shipyard midnight snack stout... Holy moly delicious

Jalapeno margarita and pineapple margaritas were good. Kinda wanted to mix them but we had finished them when I had that idea

We only had one day there so I'd say we got pretty far into our "to eat" list

Mine and dh's favorite drink was the soju slushy. We kept going back around for them, so refreshing. My other favorite was the pineapple margarita. We also loved the orange and citron slushies in France. The only drink I didnt like (and I tried alot) was the Pineapple saki from Japan.

We loved all the food we had, my favorite was the salmon from Patagonia, and the Morracan hummus fries. The biggest surprise for me was that I loved the escondidinho de carne from Brazil. It was such good comfort food, even on a hot day. Dh's favorite was the pork belly. He really liked the butter chicken from Africa but when he went back the following day it was completely different and he was disappointed in it. We pretty much tried something from every booth except for a handful and the only thing we didnt like was the beef from Africa, it was too chewey.
I would love to go back but I think we will go towards the end because it was pretty tough to eat in the heat, which is why I tried so many drinks lol.

Did anyone get the cookbook? I looked through it but cant remember if the escondidinho was in there. I may have to call merchandising if it is.

You aren't the first person to say that about Canada this year! Which is a bummer, it was one of my favorites last year. I am hoping they get their act together before we go in November. SOOooo glad to hear Brazil is amazing so far!

Where is this Soju slushie being sold? Leaving for the world today and it was not on my must do list I composed when I saw the menu's come out. Might have to be added. And don't worry about Canada. I will straighten them out when I get there. pirate: ARggggghh!
