2016 EB Transatlantic thoughts

We loved Liverpool on our visit last year. It was one of my top 10 favorite ports -- the people were wonderful and we loved our private Beatles tour. Great memories.

So glad you had such a great time and returned safely. Who was your Captain?
Captain Andy. He was really great and we appreciated being able to talk to him and get his perspective on the sailing conditions on the trip.

I would assume its a reserve at Guest services thing but would be good to know too!
I wish I had a good answer for this! We were sailing concierge, so I know that the tickets for our meet and greet for Frozen and the Princesses were printed to us and given to us by the concierge staff. The princess tea was different. We received a computer generated invitation with our names on the outside of it and a really cute invite with Belle "writing" to invite us to her tea. I wish I had a photo... it just arrived in our room. I would ask guest services as they would know best. It was not on the Navigator but I know that they had least 2 teas during the 2 week sailing.

Enjoy your trip Flounder 89! You are going to have such a blast and, yes, there were characters everywhere! And we saw many different themes to the characters... like Minnie in her Norway outfit. Very cute.

Ah thank you so much! That would have been my next question - We already have the pirates, sailors, formal and Halloween outfits from previous cruises and was wondering how many different outfits they have for a TA - Norway sounds great :) I hope we also get to do a Tea!

Thank you for sharing your experience.
Did you only use the sea bands or some other meds in addition?

I always sail with Ginger People's Gin-Gin candies and I only ended up consuming about 1/2 of a bag over the cruise. The times when I felt most sensitive and reached for the candies were usually in the WDT (being that far forward and seeing a swaying curtain in my peripheral vision doesn't help). One of the days, a nap for a couple of hours in the afternoon did the trick so that may have had the time change as a contributing factor as well. I didn't need anything else like medication or sea bands or any other treatment.

I sailed solo on this cruise and had such a blast with many of the adult activities (and some of the all-ages ones, too)!
I was also very happy with the entertainment on this cruise, and feel totally spoiled that we had 2 Broadway headliners (Susan Egan and Mandy Gonzalez) and a headlining stand-up comic (Wayne Cotter) as well as some of the top variety acts I've seen on prior cruises (John Charles, Junnk, Voiceplay).

Last time I took ginger capsules just ahead of dinner time. Worked well for the southern carribbean, but I am a little bit concerned about the upcoming WBTA. I like the nap-idea - sounds great. :cloud9:
