or stand by for "rope drop" during setup...

DH is looking forward to seeing Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx. Is there a way to get better seats, or is it easy to get seats.

Last year there were a couple ways to get reserved seats (sampler package, fp+, Eat to the Beat package, and wristbands at the Chase lounge); however, I don't know if they were considered good seats or which seats were better.

We did the sampler package last year, and the seats were pretty good. We were just to the right of center, maybe about a third (?) of the way back. Not sure if we were under cover, it didn't rain so I can't remember that detail.

Last year we were allowed to use the sampler food entitlements over the remaining days in the trip so it worked well. This year may be different, and the sampler package is a lot of entitlements to use in one day unless you use some of them for alcoholic beverages. We did and came fairly close to breaking even dollar-wise, but still paid a little more than without the package. Overall it was a positive experience and we would do it again.

Edited to add: Forgot to mention that we were there at a very busy time (half marathon weekend). The crowds at F&W were insane the day of our concert, so the reserved seats were well worth it.

If my Nov 6th-12th looks like this....Delta Rae, Bo Deans, Sister hazel, I just got screwed out of free dining and good music......

We will be there from Oct 27th - Nov 3rd still waiting to hear who are playing then.

definitely hoping Boyz 2 Men on the nov 7-9 dates... or will definitely not worry about getting to the concerts this year .... nov 5-12 for me

Sugar Ray would be nice. The tween-Ager trapped in this 50+ body would love the Monkees. Haha

Saw the Monkees at Eat to the Beat several years ago. We are going in September and get Air Supply. YECCHHH

Air Supply is awesome!

A few years ago, I was in town for work and got to spend an evening walking through World Showcase. I knew nothing about F&W or Eat to the Beat. But as I'm coming around, I hear Air Supply and then see that they are right there in stage. Best work trip ever!

Then again, my love for them comes from growing up in the late 70s/early 80s and my mom always listening to them. But still, they put on a good show!

I will fight you to get them on 11/2.:duck:

I saw Living Color open for the Rolling Stones on their Steel Wheels tour in 1989. It was in Shea Stadium, Queen, NY, and one of the best live concerts I ever saw! Open Letter to a Landlord. Cult of Personality.

Sounds like you have decent taste in music, speeb. Hope you get good acts during your dates. :)

Same here!! We'll be there Oct 28-Nov 2... This is driving my planning crazy not knowing. We will have 3 day park hoppers plus one MNSSHP on a 4th day.. I know the band hubby will want the most will end up on party night.

I saw all 9 of their shows last year - 5 from the front row! I consider their concerts enough to justify paying for my AP (even ignoring visiting the parks a couple times a week). ;)

But for me it's probably nostalgia too - the first year DH & I were married we didn't live in the same state thanks to the Army. I had an old, "taped from someone else's tape" cassette tape of Air Supply's greatest hits that I'd play in my car while driving to meet him when we both got leave at the same time. (And we're still married 28 years later). :lovestruc

Ha. You must have written that before you saw me praising Air Supply. :D

Saw Air Supply twice in NY and we saw 38 Special at Disney when we went to F&W a few years ago. Just wondering who will be there this time.
