The same happened at BLT as well. I'm also curious why BLT's transportation budget went up when gas prices have dropped dramatically yoy. In fact, all of them have gone up except for BWV where we know they now have more dedicated transportation. Doesn't make any sense.

I have wondered about that in the past because of BLT's increases. I also am beginning to suspect that the resorts that have more check-in and check-outs due shorter stays by guests could have higher costs of housekeeping,because there are more full cleanings. Think about it you normally don't get a Trash and Towel or full cleaning until day four. However your party only stays 2 nights because you are moving to another resort for days 3-7, so BLT could have three cleanings per room per week versus 2 in eight days. I do know that the higher the occupancy levels the more DVC resorts, like BLT that are attached to a Disney cash resort pay towards the joint expenses, of which housekeeping is one. DVC villas sleep more guests than standard hotel rooms and they are occupied more days each year than the cash resorts. And now we can list the fifth person in a villa that only sleeps four. That raises the DVC occupancy rate even more. Which doesn't make sense regarding the cost, since those extra folks that are sleeping on the floor (or an air mattress) don't get towels or bedding, but I guess they could be using pool towels, which might be part of the housekeeping expense.

SSR doesn't split the cost of housekeeping with another resort, so I can't figure out their higher expenses. Could it be that the resort is actually approaching fully booked status? I know people have been complaining that they couldn't even get reservations at SSR for this fall for many dates. Then it still could be a factor that because more rooms are being booked and occupied.
