2015 out!!!

Just posted spring break pricing. Its really high on both the Magic and Fantasy (April 4, 5). Think we'll skip it and hold out for Alaska as originally planned. Boy, I hope that pricing is more reasonable!! Guess we have a couple of months to wait and see.

Jodie

I have a child waiting for Alaska too

Just rebooked my dummy to a seven day on the Fantasy (4A) President's week 2015. Prices went up 15% from the same cruise/room in 2014. I love the cruises, but $6300 (4 people), before transfers, hotel the night before and onboard expenses is getting very high.

I'm curious about this as I am waiting to book this cruise tomorrow when it becomes available to me.

Did you compare exact dates or did you compare President's weeks?

I have been to Fiji, so I knew exactly what you meant when you said that. I went with a group to Jamaica and they were amazed at how clean the water was, and I was thinking, it's nicer than Jersey Shore, but it's not the remote Fiji islands. (Sorry Jersey Shore peeps)

CC for me is a completely different thing. Not perfect water or whatever, but it's a Disney Island. You get to walk around and meet characters in their swim gear. It was beautiful at Christmas time, decorated with all the Disney touches that I loved.

So, I understand what you mean about the water and the beach. For me, CC is more about the atmosphere.

Very good point! Obviously, with anything Disney, I am going to have a good time haha. I guess we were also disappointed, because the boys were too young to jet ski, and how fun is it to paddleboat around the lagoon? Snore. Will never do that again. We did do the bikes and Hobie sailing. I've never been to Fiji, but yes, that is what I'm talking about!

I'm not sure when you were there, but I did the jet ski and it was awful. The water was so choppy my little 8yo flew up so high she got scared. She was laughung and having a great time, but they go quite a distance away. In fact, there was a 19yo girl who was on the back of her moms jet ski and about 25-30 minutes into it, she got on the guides jet ski because she felt as though she would fall. I wrote and said they should keep it shorter for the smaller kids and not go so far out onto the ocean.

If you plan on doing the jet skis next time, I would wait to book until you get there. That wayou will know the conditions of the water before you are commited. At least, that was my experience.

Silly question - When do the new rates 2015 show on the DCL website? Tomorrow when the open to the public?

Just got off the phone with disney she said....tomorrow at 8am via either phone or website.

FWIW last time new dates went live on the website before phones opened at 8am EST. I'm not sure how much earlier, but I happened to check while waiting for phones to open and had my reservation confirmed before 8am.

Hoping for Baltics to be announced soon. Everything crossed! To have it booked before going to DL in January - that would mean I have a DL, WDW and DCL trip booked! :)

Is there anyone out there who can get in the system and price out a trip for me. I can not book until tomorrow but I am trying to prepare myself.

1/18/2015 western carribean 7 nights
The itinerary starting in key west
2 adults and 1 child 10
Deluxe family Ocean view verandah 299 sq feet and 246 sq feet (to compare )

I no you don't need that but just wanted to provide it just in case.

Thank you so much

Actually was hoping for that exact situation. I drive my daughter to school at 8:05 am.
Do I book at 8am and make her late for school? :rotfl2:

The opening day pricing thread already going can give you an idea of pricing. And there is no price difference between first and second seating.

Can't wait for the rest of 2015! I'm looking at summer and October (fall break).

Pricing thread is bare bones right now, how could that help anyone today?

I am seeing three pages worth of prices, which would give me a solid ballpark of how much to brace myself for tomorrow.

Do you use an online travel agent? can you hand pick your rooms? Is there a fee?

I use http://smallworldvacations.com . I have a dedicated agent whom I can reach by email or by phone. I tell her what I want, including specific room number if that applies, and she does all the work. Disney pays her a direct commission, and as a thank you for using her we get an onboard credit based on the cruise fare. There are no fees, not even for changes outside the penalty period. Any travel agent who offers you less than this is not worth the trouble.
