2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!


The modify feature was actually really easy. It gives you the first pop up that says you are changing something and it won't work with existing items in your cart, which is fine. It also tells you that at the end you will have the option to confirm or cancel your changes. I went in and checked multiple resorts using that button yesterday and then cancelled at the end.

I just cancelled a POP preferred room with FD for 9/19-9/28 and upgraded to a CBR standard to get the better dining plan (came out to less than 100 more considering the cost of upgrading from QS to TS for 3 adults). Hope someone was looking for my cancelled dates at POP!
 
Okay, after my little sweet granddaughter (3) pushed the END button on my phone during a 2 hour hold-time.... :charac2:I had to go to the dentist right. So on my way, while driving I kept dialing. Then just as I pulled into the parking lot at the dentist.... I got an answer, then the recording, then the music and I'm back on hold! Woohoo!
Well I explained my dilemma to the receptionist, still on hold and 45 minutes later I explained my dilemma to my dentist.
Then just when the drill was started (cavity) the dental assistant handed my phone to me. Everybody stopped. :scared:Everybody waited. I was talking to a real human being! A CM!
Any how, too late.o_O All FD rooms for my POR Royal vacation, were already booked and I got nothing.
But on the bright side, I still have our vacation in the place we want and the room we want for the days we want.
And who knows, maybe a discount or something magic :tink:still may happen for us

There were rooms available this morning at moderates. I was able to change my Riveride reservation from a pool view to garden view and save another $200.
 
For those asking if anyone had luck this morning, I called first thing and was placed on hold. While on hold I went online and saw that Pop had preferred pool rooms with availability. I booked one no problem. The second I had error messages on the payment screen so I just kept going back a few screens and re-entered and then I finally got it to go through. SUCCESS, 2 rooms at Pop (had to do preferred pool) with QS free dining and paid the extra to upgrade to the regular plan. I was still on hold and finally got a CM. I did check to see if AoA which was my original ressie that I had not cancelled yet could be modified but the answer was no. I also checked CBR and CSR and neither had rooms. I have stayed at Pop and know my kids will be fine so I am really happy this worked out because dining for 6 with healthy eaters would have definitely cost us at least as much as the dining plan if we were paying out of pocket. I consider myself lucky I had the right week in Oct already booked and having purchased the airfare already. So it was a mission to get the free dining. This way we can splurge for the MNSSHP. Now I just need to get the one dining reservation I really want tomorrow at my 180 day mark and I can finally stop stressing! Keep trying people, I was on hold about an hour but actually booked thru the website.
 
Still staring at Woody.....I had no problem yesterday modifying online but now I'm stuck on the payment page. It's giving me an error even though I already have the $200 down. It says it will only hold it for 10 minutes. Also on the phone and there's a 2 hour wait!!It's not letting me confirm >:(

That swirling circle and Woody won't load! Is anyone having this problem?

It's saying there's an error adding a payment method??? I have a card on file, paid a deposit and input another card! What's going on!!!!
 
Woody was on the screen forever for me when I modified my reservation. I finally gave up and hit refresh (even though it said not to) because the little loading icon wasn't spinning anymore. After I hit refresh it said I was booked.
 
Longest I've ever spent on hold with Disney! 1 hour 10 minutes then my call dropped - and second call I was waiting 2 hours 22 minutes. So in total 3.5 hours on hold yesterday.

We had an existing package reservation from last year (kept pushing our dates forward since we ended up going on DD's reservation). Really needed to keep our dates the same since we already booked our elusive BOG ADRs and didn't want to lose them. Had to change resorts, not because it was excluded but because all rooms at our original resort with FD were taken already. Going to check in every so often to see if we can possibly switch back, but as it stands, it was a minimal price difference so if nothing opens up we are still good to go.

Anyhow, successfully booked for September with FD. So excited.
 
My boyfriends Mother and Father are going with us, they are only staying Thurs-Mon. The FD offer on the WDW website says you have to have a minimum of 3 nights with 2 day park hopper or waterpark, and they have park hoppers like us. My travel agent booked my boyfriend and I FD, but didn't try and book them because she said it was a 6 night minimum. She faxed over this paper from disneytravelagents.com that actually states " Your Clients can get a FREE Dining Plan when they purchase a non-discounted 6 Night/ 7 day Walt Disney World Travel Company package..."

Hmm.. what do you guys think...
 
If you did not get FD yesterday keep checking. I saw several openings for POR and CBR this morning.
I'm seeing a lot more openings as well with a couple of the resorts and dates of 9/19-9/25 than what was showing last night. Hopefully everyone will get what they want or need today.:daisy:
 
A POP Standard room has just been released into the wild...GO GET EM TIGERS!

We are going to stick with AKL with Free Dining. My family almost moved out when they saw I had made the POP one:rolleyes1

Refreshed and now it's telling me there's an error with my payment method??? Ahhh!!! They must have 3 cc cards of mine on file plus the $200 deposit! Why am I getting this error message! So frustrating!! I had no problems whatsoever yesterday with modifications :headache:
