I agree it was difficult to not make any reservation before this morning, but i dont regret it at all, when a book at 5 am this morning, i had my first choice (ok it was all star sport lol) but all the moderate had room also if i wanted that option. Everything was done in about 3 minutes..really glad to have wait for the release, I,m one of the lucky one who was all set in 5 minutes

I booked through a TA - had no idea I needed her to modify my reservation she wasn't able to. We are staying at POP 9/20 - 9/26. There are no FD offers available during that time. I'm so bummed! We are still going, but I was really hoping to save $900

ADRs are linked to your name not the reservation. Nothing you do to your resort reservation will change your ADRs.

Think about it like this: Disney wants the locals to eat at Disney as well. The 180 day ADR reservation window is designed for them too. They wouldn't need a resort just ADR reservation.

Even if you canceled your resort altogether your ADRs would be intact.

I also just learned that because I booked the new one myself, if he can't find the same deal we will have to cancel my old reservation, process a refund and then apply that amount to the new reservation.
Oh and next time I will not be booking a room early, it literally made no difference in how fast I got the package I wanted. There is no "add on FD", even if you have a room in that resort it doesn't automatically mean you will get the discount.
Having a TA has been great for things such as planning and making ADR's but as you can see from my posts it takes away some control when you find the deal you want.

is it really that cold first week of november in MOntreal during summer we swim at a temperature of 77 with no problem at all and the pool are not heat at 82

Lets just say you are south of me (Montreal is balmy compared to my temps) in Canada & yes, it can be nasty cold in Orlando in the first week of November. I've done a polar bear dip in Jan in Canada . . . once in my life was great but its enough. Look, the best thing to do is check reputable online weather sources. My last 4 yrs of Food & Wine trips have been first & second week of November. All have been chilly in the mornings and cold at night. If the water parks option is a serious one for your family, you may well be able to take advantage of it after lunch. High noon until 4 pm may well work for your family. If you are Canadian & good with low temps, with some luck & sunshine, you will make it work! You won't get any better chances in Canada until the next July! Best wishes

You should be fine then. My kids swam almost every day 2 years ago during the 2nd week of November. It was 80 most days for the high. But it can fluctuate

I feel like for me, it was easier to wait and book this morning. I didn't go to bed until 2am central time. Then, my husband woke me at a few minutes after 6 to check to see if the deal was live yet. While I was still in bed, I popped onto the disboards and checked this thread. Sure enough, the deal was live. I had my email confirmation by 6:28am and was booked for CBR Dec. 15-22 for our family of 5. I do feel there will be more available later on so I would keep trying if you haven't got what you want. There was a lot of people who booked early and will end up canceling those ressies because they had to make a new one. I was so tempted to book last night and just modify today but I held off.

I'm in the same boat and so bummed. Seems like going through a TA was really a bad move on my part, because I saw the availability this morning and I should have just done it myself. Somehow she and two other agents in her office were on hold all day and couldn't get us in.

Exactly what my TA said. This is my first time going to Disney so I had no idea I couldn't modify anything without going through my TA. I spoke to someone at Disney at 7:00 hoping to do it myself. She told me that my TA shouldn't have any problems modifying our reservations, boy was she wrong. Lol I feel sick over missing an opportunity to save over $900.

Woo-Hoo! After 3 hours on the phone they were able to update my reservation for free dining and saved my family and I over 1000 dollars

My rep was super helpful and apologetic that we had to wait so long on hold. Good luck to everyone else!

Am I the only one still on hold??? I've got 7+ hours invested in this today (had to hang up a couple times after waiting 2+ hours, because work expects me to like, work.)

After 2.5 hours on hold, I finally booked! I originally spent two hours on hold this morning just for them to tell me that I was in the wrong que (not the agent que). I'm happy now. Thanksgiving at Disney, Yay. I gotta go update my signature.

Hmmmm, that's discerning. I am able to view my ressie in MDE but just no email yet. Maybe because after I booked it online at 3:00 I decided to upgrade the dining and therefore had to call in to have a CM change my FD plan to a partially paid dining plan?

I got an email right away but had to link it myself in MDE

Yes, Indeed I did, but this was better because now we're flying out, and flying back on weekdays as oppose to more expensive weekends, plus all the money we save off our package. Really excited.

make new search few times a days, maybe something will show off for you or ask your TA to do so really hope you will get it i<m really suprise that all star sport have no reservation left over for two rooms
