I started calling around 7:10am, after a few busy signals, got into the dead air hold for 1 hr and 20 mins. A really nice CM came and and was trying to work with my dates (Nov 8 - 15) but couldn't find anything so she put me on hold for 40 mins (!!) while trying to work with a manager. I originally had a standard room at CBR booked for family of 5 for $3300. Could only "downgrade" to 2 rooms at a value, which would cost $1300 more. No way i'm paying more for a value. Or BC was offered, but at $2000 more. So she played around with dates and we ended up getting CBR preferred room Nov 11-18th instead, for $3900. I'm okay with that. We would not use park hoppers, but with the water parks and more, I think my 2 boys would love to spend some time at DisneyQuest (which I always avoid because I think it's a crazy price for video games). So FD for $600 more than my original reservation, not bad because we would have definitely spent more than $600 in food for 5 of us for 7 days. I'll keep stalking for my original dates for the next few months though.
BTW, I was checking online the whole time I was on hold and couldn't get anything for CBR for anytime around that week. So staying for hold on hours might eventually be worth it.

I was wondering the same thing. If all the mods are sold out for the end of October, I'm not sure that the park levels could possibly be only a 2 or 3...

So I have a question. Aren't the free dining dates released the same time as room discounts? Since they didn't release any room discounts does this mean that they probably aren't offering them? As of right now my travel agent is still saying she's trying to get me in for our week, at Port Orleans, but for the week of October 25th. That isn't included in the deal! She said let's just wait and see what opens up, but I am really concerned that this will leave me out in the cold without anything. Does anybody anticipate they will do room discounts as well at some point? I really would prefer to stay where we are, especially if there's a potential room discount coming. But if not, and the best move for us is to try and change our resort to get the free dining... I am just so stressed I don't know what to do! I need to take a pill!

Room-only discounts for the rest of the year should come out this summer. However, if it were me, I would secure whatever I could now. If room-only discounts come out later for your dates, you could always change your reservation at that time.

Finally after 2 hours of silence they answered. The only moderate at all that was left was a pirate room at CBR for our dates Sept 26-Oct 3. I am not staying in a pirate room alone with my hubby and paying $1000 more than I will at AS Sports to do it. Disney just lost out on me. Canceled my CBR and now it will be AS Sports with $700 in my pocket instead of theirs! Good luck to you all!

It was for me too, around a $9/night difference between Pop and any of the All Stars, but that was for standard rooms. I think folks are finding now that all the standard rooms are booked and they are having to upgrade to preferred rooms to get the FD promo. That can add another $20-$30/night so that is probably where the difference is coming from.

I got online right when the promo came out (I think?) at 4:30am and it didn't show anything available at POP but the Premium Pool rooms. There was never an option for standard for my dates.

I have received confirmation from Disney that this is a GLITCH and do not worry. Here is actual email:

No worries! There is a known system challenge happening this morning with confirmation emails relating to the new dining offer. Even though you are booked under the Magic Your Way plus Dining offer (which includes a table-service credit, quick-service credit, and snack per person per night), the confirmation email for Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa Resorts is incorrectly reading that the Magic Your Way Quick-Service Dining is booked. Your reservation is booked correctly, and once you retrieve your reservation in My Disney Experience®, the site will show the correct dining plan as well.

Okay...so I stayed up until Midnight like so many others....no go. Set my alarm for 5:30....to wake up and see that it had already gone live. Tried to modify my ressies online...couldn't get the FD dates we wanted for our family of 5. Got a little discouraged at this point......starting calling promptly at 7am. Just to have the phones go into technical difficulties. Read every post on here about how CBR was booked....got a little more discouraged. While waiting on a silent hold (not sure if I was really even connected) start playing with my dates online...poof two days earlier than I wanted to come I could book FD!!!! CBR booked for 10/25 - 11/5 with FD. I had to do the water or pool room....but hey it saved us a lot!! I'm so excited!! Now to plan out my dining! Thanks for all the fun everyone! Good luck....spreading the pixie dust your way! Oh....the cast member finally picked up the phone call after about an hour and 10 minutes of complete silence (she couldn't make my dates fit any better, I'm just excited to get FD, I'll work around the dates)!

right, but securing a room now would mean that I would have to change my current reservations from Port Orleans Riverside to another hotel and we really love Port Orleans. We are going the last week in October and I don't believe that is included in the free dining so we would have to move to another resort. The only other resort I would consider is Caribbean beach but it sounds like they are all booked up as well. this is my first experience with all of this and it's insane!

still no word from my TA. We are changing our dates to OCt 31-nov 6 at POP..I am so worried. But do you think if we wait something may come open?

I think there is very little rhyme or reason as to why! I got a Pop standard room at 6:30 am for aug 28th-sept 5th......but now I see hardly any standard rooms for any dates! Oiy. Good luck guys!

So we wanted CBR, but that didn't work. We didn't want to move to pirate rooms. Our choice right now is to upgrade to AKL and it's SO much more expensive Is staying at a deluxe and paying roughly 1400.00 more really worth "free dining" at this point? I really need advice! I feel like we are not really getting any good deal at all....bummer. Our other option is just to go another week with no free dining, and just pay OOP for a few meals during our stay. What would you do??

She said.. "Sweetie If I were you I wouldn't worry about the Free Dining. Let's get you a MYW Room Only + Paid Standard Dining because you have an AP.. Which hotel do you want"

Her "POR it is, ok your total for 4 nights is 945.. That looks much better than 1485 for Free Dining now doesn't it."
Me: "Are you married?"

LoL anyhow I got a little bit of pixie dust and opened up a CSR standard for one of you hopefully.

I know some people are upset about people booking before the deals came out but I know in my case I booked before the deal came out because I was going with or without a discount and wanted to make sure a standard room was available. When I plan trips I plan them at rack rate, that way I know I can afford to go. The free dining was a perk I wasn't counting on, I gladly would have paid for a full price standard view room if that was all that was available but I was not willing to risk being completely shut out.

Yes, everyone should be able to see them, but they only go through October 3rd. I think many people are looking for discounts through the end of the year.
