2015 Flower and Garden speakers?

Anyone seen the speaker schedule for the festival? I'm wondering whether they have had difficulty finding speakers from HGTV. If you look at the HGTV website, there doesn't seem to be a lot of garden-related shows. They are all house rehab, remodel, and house hunters. Very few garden, yard, outdoor shows. Where are all the garden personalities from the past?

I don't think they should fill the speaker schedule with home rehab speakers. This is the Flower and Garden Festival, not the Home and Garden Festival. Will we see a return to past "regional" and "national" speakers?

A quick Google search showed that the HGTV stars were announced the third week of January last year, so Disney isn't too far behind its own eight ball on this.

None of the press releases so far have made any reference to HGTV. The official WDW website makes no reference to HGTV for this year, but still shows Chase as a sponser for Food and Wine for next year. Things do not look good for HGTV being a sponser this year.

The latest article on AllEars states:

Disney gardeners will lead weekend how-to Gardening Seminars and workshops at the Festival Center, where guests also can pick up signature festival merchandise.


Before HGTV was involved, the Festival Center was only open weekends. I am afraid they are going back to just weekend seminars by Disney horticulturists and no headliners from HGTV.

Very, very sad if that is the case.

Yes, very sad indeed! I intentionally planned this vacation for the Flower and Garden Festival so I could see all the gorgeous flowers (of course) as well as the HGTV celebs for the weekends! Oh Well, time to review the itinerary and adjust! Looks like I wont be spending as much time at Epcot as I thought But still excited to be going to Disney in 89 days!!!!!!!
