2015 DVC Alaska Member Cruise 5/25-5/31/15

Well, unfortunately our flight out of Toronto is at 9:00am so we won't see you on the plane, but we will beat you there! Ha!Ha!

You should come over to the Pan Pacific on Saturday at 8:00pm for our pre-cruise mini meet. We'll be in Cascades Lounge.

I would love to come to the meet, I wish we were staying at that hotel! I'm just afraid that by 8pm Vancouver time (11pm est) I'll be dead! I'll be getting up about 1am that day to make it to the airport for our first flight, so I'll have been up about 22 hours by that time. It's likely I'll be going to bed by then! I'm still planning on the 230pm meet on the ship the next day though, that's my best shot at meeting you all I think.

The Wonder arrives in San Diego this morning. Searching for a decent webcam. Anyone have a link?

I can't find a decent webcam of the port in San Diego. Best I can find is http://www.sundiegolive.com/ and it's not very user friendly. Once it does load it's so far away you can't see anything. The Wonder supposedly hasn't arrived yet according to the port schedule (it says 7:30am PST) so maybe we'll see it somehow at some point.

Edit to add: She's already there according to MarineTraffic. I see little ships in the distance I think, but it's not nearly as fun as some of the other ports. Boo.

Yes, tidefan, we will be. We are catching it at the Edmonds (I think) station as we are staying for a day and a half with our Seattle daughter, and that station is closer for her to drop us off. We are taking the Sunday morning train. Will we see you? Look for Micca and I lugging too many suitcases and probably with Disney type gear on of some kind! Save us a seat if you get on before us!

Yes..actually, we're taking the train all the way to Seattle, then staying the nigtht there and then taking the train the next moring to Vancouver. And that leads me to what should be my final questions What cab company services downtown Seattle and Vancouver? (my one Uber experience was odd, so won't be doing that). Also, I think I read that Pan Pacific handles our luggage all the way to the ship? How do we set that up? We plan on carrying our luggage off on disembarkment day to catch the 9:00 Quick Shuttle..will there be any issues with that?

We have late dining. My husband and I have a conflict of interest when it comes to dining, as he would like to sit with his co-workers, and I would like to sit with people from this board!! Thing is, he is only going to be able to come to one dinner on the very first night, and one dinner on Skagway night. After that he's going to be stuck with chicken fingers, room service or maybe Beach Blanket Buffet, due to his schedule. Due to his absence, I'd actually prefer to dine with folks from here, but my hubby would have to be good with abandoning his co-workers on those two nights.

Morning! Yes, you could pre-order them, but I think the pre order period is over now. You can always check, go to the DCL site, look up stateroom gifts, and then select the Alaska cruise. I'm pretty sure they will also have them for sale in the shops during the trip too.

hi - yes, they offered t-shirts and a sweatshirt. They popped up in March on the DCL site under the In-room gifts & shopping. Orders had to be placed by the first or second week of April.

That's a great offer, thank you! I'm currently working on trying to change to early dining, and not sure how that's going to work out. I may not know until I board unfortunately. Hopefully I can find out before I meet you all at the 2:30 meet at the Promenade Lounge to let you know, though that may be too late for changes. I do appreciate the offer though!!

Pan Pacific will get your luggage to the ship, just call bell services. My son is also disembarking early to catch the 9:00 Quick Shuttle, I hope it works out for both of you. He has a flight to Denver that afternoon, should work perfectly.
