It's Friday -- spring break at the school and I'm bored ;) So thought I'd throw out the 2014 question. Anyone heard any speculation about places? Any thoughts on what you are hoping for?

Mine is that they finally take one of the newer ships overseas, but not sure how long they are locked into the Port Canaveral contract.

Also would like to see the possibility of more cruises to Hawaii -- maybe even one-ways with Vancouver as the hub (if that's doable) :confused3

And am REALLY hoping that they start doing more extended southern Caribbean cruises -- 10 and 11-day. I loved the one we did on the Wonder in 2006! :thumbsup2

My wish would be for one of the newer ships to sail out of NYC.

I wish they used the Disney Dream on longer itineraries. Such a large ship with so much to do is being wasted (imho) on such short outings. 7-day Caribbean or 12-Day European cruises would fit that ship much better. Even Panama Canal crossings, though I don't know if it would fit before they finish the expansion.

The contract at Port Canaveral will keep the newer ships based there for several years. I think we are not going to see them venturing far from "home" for a while.

I'd like to see a "one way" option to Hawaii so we can cruise over, spend some time at Aulani (or wherever), and possibly cruise back. I've done 2 week cruises on DCL for a lot less money than the cost of a round trip plane ticket to Hawaii. I won't see Aulani as long as the cost of getting there is more than the cost of the vacation!

The new ships will not fit thru the Panama Canal until the expansion is completed. It is a "tight squeeze" for the Magic. We were told that the Magic was designed to be the maximum size that would be allowed thru, and based on the first 2 crossings....yeah, remember that hunk of metal that was gouged out, mounted, and sold for a charity auction? Being on the ship and watching it "squeak" thru on the EBPC was impressive. I was imagining Captain Tom cringing as his baby was being controlled by a canal pilot.

I just hope they stay on the west coast, that's all I want. Go wherever you want on the west coast, I don't care, but don't take away the Wonder!

ditto on the Baltics

I understand about the contract w/Port Canaveral, but how about some different Caribbean ports? And fewer Mexican ports!

Very disappointed that we found DCL just after the Baltic itinerary. Would love to have it back.
