Good Morning, and HAPPY EASTER!
I just noticed on TripAdvisor that there are some new pics of a renovated dormer room in Boca Chica, and these pics reveal a chair. It's. It much of a chair, but it is there.

Happy Easter! It's a beautiful morning here, after rainy and windy weather yesterday. Unfortunately, DH and I both have been under the weather (cold/bronchitis) for the last few days and will have to miss church. :(

Blue, you seem to be one of the few who have experienced both Narcoosee's and Citrico's. How would you compare the two? My sister and I are like many on here who have always wanted to try it but something else won out when it came to making ADRs. :confused3

Headed over to Trip Advisor to see the chair you referenced, ScottMC. Fingers crossed that it brings more "Disney" to the room! :sad2:

Me too....patiently waiting for the booking window to open for making FP ressies for the new Mine Train! :surfweb:

HAPPY EASTER to all of my GF friends :flower3:.

We just found out that my husband is going to be on a business trip over mother's day so I decided that I'd take our 4 year old to Disney for a short trip. It will be just the 2 of us staying in the main building. I did the deluxe dining plan so that we could do signature dinners.

Sounds like a great Mother's Day trip you have planned. It doesn't get any better than spending Mother's Day at the GF in RPC :cloud9:.

MickeyNut I always enjoy reading your input and your insight on things!! :goodvibes Great comparison on RPC and WL OFC..BTW..I did not realize that 2010 was your first GF stay..So glad that we were there together! :flower3: That was such a fun girls trip!! BTW...love the siggie..Go Bulls! LOL...

~ On the look out now :magnify:...cant wait for FPP to open for the Mine Train...Sure hope that I dont miss the window once it opens..lol...:confused3

Thanks......you know I love RPC as it's my favorite, but OFC is right up there with it :goodvibes. Yes, my first GF stay was in January 2010......loved that trip and I'm glad I was able to make it ::yes::.

LOL on the siggie . I've been wanting to put a Bulls logo on there for the longest time, but since I'm computer challenged I needed some help.....LOL. I finally asked DS to help me yesterday and while we started out looking at logos, that quickly changed as he suggested something a little more fun :goodvibes.

GO BULLS is right :thumbsup2. Playoffs started yesterday and while I loved watching all 4 games, I'm excited for the first Bulls game tonight :yay:.

Good luck on FPP.....I hope you are able to get what you want ;).

Beautiful morning here too......sun is shining and temps are in the low 50s :sunny:.

I'm sorry you and DH are under the weather. I hope both of you feel better soon .

Hi Everyone & Happy Easter! Long time lurker to this amazing thread. Thought I would finally come out and post. :)

Three of us stayed at RPC in January for the Goofy Challenge (girls weekend) and we are planning on staying there again for the Glass Sipper Challenge next February. I used the chair in our room so much during our trip, so I jumped to TripAdvisor to see what was there. Not only is there a chair, but it looks like there is a 3rd pillow on the day bed. This gives me hope that they are still adding bits to these rooms.

I'm hoping they will add a nesting table at some point. We used that as well and it was very handy.

I will catch the tail and see YOU there :cool1: We will be at GF July 23 - 29 :beach: We are all so excited and this never ending winter isn't helping. Every day my oldest daughter asks "Is it July yet?" And....these are my thoughts as well. I can't wait to be hangin' with Mickey, screaming on EE, singing on SM, dreaming on Soarin, shootin 'em up on TSM.....and sipping adult beverages poolside at GF :drinking1 (BTW...WHY is there no smiley for a tropical drink??? :confused3)

Oh that's cool! We'll be there at the same time. I'm with you and your daughter wanting it to be July. We are counting down the days.

Happy Easter everyone!:)

It is going to be running on 5/2 for a promotional thingy. No one knows yet when it will permanently open but I keep checking the theme park strategies thread for info. Most assume fp+ MAY be available after it's officially announced open. :worship:

Some FP+ has only been bookable for a month at a time(parades I think). Since I will be there part May and part June I am hoping to get Mine Train:goodvibes

An actual warm sunny Easter in the northeast! :sunny:

Very interesting :scratchin I hope they open FP+ in time for your trip. I have a while yet before I can schedule FP+ as my trip isn't until Jul 23rd. I totally have mine train on my list for a FP+ if they open it up. I sure hope it is a faster loading ride with good capacity or the lines will be even more insane than I am expecting :upsidedow

On a similar note, I hope they change up the FP+ to open up more than 3 in a day AND add park hopping abilities....SOON! It sucks that you can't make FP+ in two parks in one day. It would really help my itinerary to split my FP+ between my morning and evening parks!

Hi everyone I've just booked a breakfast ADR for Chef Mickey's on the morning we check out of GF. Our ADR is for 11:15am, so what time should we be leaving GF, remembering that we have to check out and check our luggage before we go?

Also, do you have to go to the desk to check out? In other hotels (Luxor in Vegas being the one I remember) we filled in a form and left the key card in the room.

Didn't realise there was a new thread - wondered why the other one was unusually quiet :)

I was so busy today I didn't get a chance to say Happy Easter to all my Grand friends. Hope you all had a magical day!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Good morning friends.

My family enjoys Citricos more. I have eaten at both many times, and it seems that the food at Citricos is more flavorful than at Narcoossees. We are eating at Citricos the first night of our vacation this year. Last year we ate at Narcoossees the first night. Found the service very slow.

Even when my kids were younger, they liked Citricos better. Hope this helps.

Have a good day!

Good to know. Thanks:thumbsup2

I hope you like the OFC. One of the things I love about OFC is the lounge and how it over looks the lobby, which is one of the things I love most about RPC :cloud9:. Plus the CMs are amazing, as they are in RPC, so I guess I see a lot of the same qualities in both clubs :goodvibes.

Jiko is another signature I want to try. CG was on that list, but like you, the menu doesn't appeal to me. I have also read some not-so-good reviews since the refurb, so I'm hesitant to try it.

I am getting more and more excited as each day passes lol - I'm looking forward to experiencing the 'nature' of the WL OFC as well as the 'grandeur' of the GF RPC. :goodvibes

How exciting!:goodvibes I've heard some great reviews about OFC at WL. Hope to hear all about your trip. Enjoy!

Thank you, it's definitely going to be a trip of 2 experiences :)

Clare37 Congrats on booking WL and getting to stay on property for your entire trip! :goodvibes I will be looking foward to hearing your thoughts on both CLs after staying at them back to back...As for Citricos...we have dined there many times...and always enjoyed the food atmosphere and service... We hadnt eaten there in a long time...since Narcoosees is a family fave..and another GF veteran BCV23 recommended it ..and we havent looked back...As for convenience..it cant be beat..especially if you are stying in RPC..lol.. Lots of good dishes..but I will say..the short ribs are sooo good... :thumbsup2ost everything that we wanted...and then...after checking daily..even got that elusive BOG dinner ressie... :woohoo:

Thank you, I'm looking forward to staying at them both too, I've never stayed at WL and I feel a 'newbie' to the GF too as the last time I stayed was back in 2007.

That's good to hear re. Citricos :thumbsup2

If it were me, I'd be checking luggage by 10 am and then head to the monorail. It seems like a lot of time before your ADR since you're just going to the CR, but if you have to wait a few minutes to check your luggage and/or the monorail is busy, you will need that extra time to accommodate any waiting.

You do not have to go to the front desk to check out. If you set up room charging, your cc will automatically be billed for any charges and a receipt will be left on your door over night showing the charges and payment.

Glad you found the new thread :goodvibes.

That's a great way to think about it and I agree. The WL and GF are such different resorts that it will be like 2 vacations in one :).

I agree with MickeyNut and would be sure to be at the resort airline desk by 10am...there can sometimes be a line there...As for check out..most recently as long as you have a credit card on file you do not have to stop at the desk..they will settle the account...post charges to your CC ..and email you your portfolio....

Hey Candy!! :wave2:

Have a good day!

We have had very good meals at both..but I do think Citricos has a very nice atmosphere...and especially enjoy when we are seated at a table by the window...

grannyminnie I think that Citricos is just a bit more formal in atmosphere.... a little quieter...But we do enjoy the menus at both...and would give them both a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for Disney fine dining...

Clare Lots of new things at the GF since 2007... So much to see..Enjoy!

MickeyNut That girls trip sure was a lot of GF fun! That fireworks cruise on the Grand One is a stand out in my memory! :sail: :boat: :crowded: LOL...I really do think that that is a wonderful way to enjoy a gathering and especially the fireworks!

marlaine and happymom Right back at you! Nice to see new friendly faces here on the GF thread! :grouphug:

So many of us will be on the SDMT FPP lookout.... Lets hope for the best! :thumbsup2 If I hear of anything I will be sure to pop in and share the info here with my fellow GF fans! :goodvibes

~ Just an FYI about Citricos..they will personalize a menu same as Narcoosees if you have a celebration noted on your ressie...:goodvibes

Hope that everyone is having a magical Monday! princess:

Hi everyone! I have a question and I apologize if it has been asked In a previous post. Has anyone done a family portrait at the gf? We Are looking into using Disney Event Photography on our upcoming trip and I would like the portrait to be taken outside on the Gf grounds and I was wondering if anyone has done this? Thanks so much in advance for any feedback

Found a nice write up on GF including some pics of new rooms and detailed CL offerings. I hope it's okay to post the link. Here it is. (If it's not okay, moderators
may delete and I will not
be offended. Just found the write up helpful.)

Thank you for sharing! I must be blind. I saw the side chair next to the TV where the desk used to be. Where is the desk located now in the room? Has it been added since these pictures have been taken and the side chair moved next to the bed closest to the sliding door where it used to be? Even on vacation DH does work and uses the desk and his laptop.

Have a good day friends!
